m gardner Posted June 10, 2009 Report Share Posted June 10, 2009 Gold Tip 3555's seem to work well as do PSE X Weave Predator 200's. Both are tough arrows. Be sure to check the arrows for cracks so the child doesn't get hurt. If they will be shooting unsupervised aluminum arrows may be a better choice. I guess the question is why not carbon? Try some CX Maxima 150s Ken. Kelsey pulls 35 lbs and they work great with her set-up. They aren't over spined for her edge. If you're just flingin arras at a backyard target I wouldn't get too crazy about something he may grow out of in no time that are less expensive yet ideal for that kinda shootin. If she is going to shoot filed or 3D she need a much lighter arrows Easton Red Line 1000 and 1 inch vanes and she will have a 200 grain arrow that will hit the longer shots and her score will improve Most kids arrows are way too heavy and discourages them as the arrows drop so much a slight misjudgement of range is a miss.
