cinch314
Ive looked at the Oklahoma wildlife site and found this. Me and a bunch of others cannot figure out what season it is corresponding to. September 5 & 6: Free hunting days for Oklahoma residents, a hunting license, legacy permit and HIP permit are not required. what does this mean? Free for what game? http://www.wildlifedepartment.com/seasons.htm If it is referring to Dove which is the only season open on those days then why isnt it with the Dove season dates? cinch314
OK I get it so it is like the free fishing days in Oklahoma right? I have my lifetime combo so I dont know what days are free or not. Bear< I've still got a question on the whole quota thing. Say one day there is 19 bears from the season that are checked in leaving 1 more for the quota to be filled and 5 hunters go out and 3 shoot a bear. How are they going to know the quota has been reached? Are they called or something? Also what happens to the 2 other hunters that each killed a bear then we over the quota? That whole quota thing confuses me.

hutchies
If it is referring to Dove which is the only season open on those days then why isnt it with the Dove season dates? It was created to introduce more people to hunting. It's just like the free fishing days. Dove season is something everyone can participate in. MCH
I've got my name on one of those bear tags. We've got at least 6 confirmed bears on our lease in Push county. Had one under my stand on two different occasions....he knew I was there, just didn't care. Ruined two perfectly good hunts. I owe him...lol. Gator
It's almost tempting to get on a lease down there just so I can get me a chance at a bear
bfletch7441
We'll be giong after them on our annual hunts at James Collins this year. We've not seen them there, but the game ranger says there are quite a few on the place. Ben
