billkay Posted July 24, 2009 Report Share Posted July 24, 2009 I'd imagine a lot of you are familiar with Chris Brackett and his flying carp bowfishing on the Illinois River. I was with him, Pat and Nicole from Driven TV and Chris' fiance Jodi shooting a new show the other day. Jodi had just shot at one of the fish when another jumped and smashed her in the face, breaking her jaw. She'll have her mouth wired shut for the next 6 weeks. Stone Cold Posted July 24, 2009 Report Share Posted July 24, 2009 This is way to funny! I am glad all is ok but I do know these fish can be dangerous. I have been hit by one also on the Illinois River. They are all over now. I was laughing at a buddy when he told me about them so he had me go with him. It was a sight to see. KirkV Posted July 24, 2009 Report Share Posted July 24, 2009 Yeah I live right by Brackett here in central Illinois and there have been 2 deaths of boaters on The Illinois river that have been unexplained. Both guy's found dead long after their boats were found. It was quite possible they were knocked out by flying fish! The football helmet Tiffany wore was nothing to laugh about now.
