wtnhunt
Glad you are getting rain. Nice to get rain in July, but the timing for us could not be worse. We have had droughts over the summer months for the last 3 years, figures the year we try to build a house we would have summertime flooding. Our contractor has been trying to pour the footing for our house for the last week and a half, weather has not cooperated at all, rained while he was trying to dig out the basement too. Think we are now somewhere in the neighborhood of 3.5 inches above average rainfall for July, and rain is in our forecast 3 out of the next 4 days. When it rains it pours, hate to hear this for you William. I know your ready to get the ball rolling for the house. We've been blessed with the rain this summer. It did get to a point where our family farm wasn't getting the crops in due to much rain. But they got them in and it looks great.
Shaun_300
You can have some of our rain too if you need it! We've had some localized flooding in this area lately. Haven't seen a summer this wet in years. I live in the area that's in the state of emergency. http://ottawa.ctv.ca/servlet/an/local/CTVNews/20090725/OTT_rain_090725/20090726?hub=OttawaHome

camoman1
I hear ya, bought time, our food plots needed it bad. Yep, mine too. Mowed the clover a while back and it aint grown an inch back yet....I re-seeded a few spots today so actually this rain came at a perfect time. Hopefully it greens up the rest again too! Strut10
You want rain?? I'd gladly give you some if I could. Never seems to freakin' stop raining here. I'll trade you a week of rain for a week of summer-like temperatures. Weatherman sez this will go into the books as either the coldest or next to coldest July in recorded history. camoman1
Temps have been way below normal here too. Thats the only thing that saved the farm crops this year so far. If it would have been hot they would all be dead...we had mornings in the 40's here not long ago. we have had plenty of sunshine though. woolybear
We got the rain and some twisters blew through here yesterday. Not a very common summer for us at all.

Tominator
Normally I welcome rain in late July, but not this year. In the last week or so I'd say we probably have 2 or 3 inches of the wet stuff which is making a huge mud pie of my new house construction site. bluelund79
Rained good and hard down here too. Did my corn and pumpkins some real good! Now if I had prepped the soil better this wouldn;t have been an issue...Learning experience!
