How do you access the Internet, apps, and emails? Any links for us tech-challenged people for the "How To" (with plenty of pics or video) pages out there on the Internet???? Here is a link to apple's website: http://www.apple.com/iphone/iphone-3gs/ It should take you to the "features" page, there is a list on the left of all the features that come with it, and if you click on each one there are short videos that show you how to use each of them. The iPhone data package is an additional $30 which gives you unlimited data. Texting plans are $5 for 200 texts, $15 for 1500 texts, or $20 for unlimited. Basically, you're gonna spend about $400 to start and $80-$100 a month.* With my iPhone package, I pay $100 a month and have unlimited data and texts. IMO, wait until the new version of the iPhone comes out in a couple months. These iPhones recquire a friggin medical degree to put ringtones on them as they need to be converted to a certain format which is not an easy process, and there is NO WAY TO SEND PICTURES WITH THIS PHONE! *If you choose not to sign up for a data package in the beginning, ATT reserves the right to put one on for you. It's part of the iPhone contract. Learn from experience! As far as internet, it has WiFi capability. If you're on the road (or in the stand!) you connect through the network. Just open up Safari and go pretty much. It's rather simple to use. No manuals come with the phone, which was new to me!! Everything is on Apple's website in .pdf form. Hope this helps! There is no new one coming out in a couple months, the newest one (3Gs) came out about 2 months ago. Unless you are just reffering to a software update?. Much less expensive( he got 2 of them for $110) and it only adds $10 a month to the family plan. It will do what I was looking to accomplish: Email, Some Web, MP3 downloads and that kind of stuff. No prob. MMS is a big feature everyone is complaining about. Especially after they announced it at the WWDC and every other carrier throughout the world had it the following week, but AT&T isn't going to have that or tethering until the end of summer. Not sure how much tethering will cost, but I just want my MMS :hammer1:lol. From what I hear though, that isn't a software update, that's on AT&T's end, not apples. Simply save em to Itunes and load em during a sync. Iphones rock! I dunno what I'd do without mine. Only thing that sux is the MMS thing, but thats getting fixed this month supposedly. Simply save em to Itunes and load em during a sync. Yea, but can you get a 25 second ringtone from 1:33 to 1:58 in the song Stick It by Keith Anderson on that web site?? Didn't think so! That's why I make my own. It's a pain in the butt having to use 4 different programs to make one ringtone (Limewire to DL, MP3 splitter, converter, then iTunes). Then you have to have the $30 data plan for the iphone (this is required). Texts start at $5 for 200 messages, which I found to not really be enough, so I upgraded to the 1500 messages for $15 (really wish they would have something in between).
