layin on the smackdown
Has anyone purchased or tried the new Pack Rack? If so, does the sound carry good? Does it sound better than the rattle bag? I am a firm believer in using real antlers, but at the same time, sometimes they are too bulky for certain situations, or you forget them, or they fall out of the tree. I have a rattle bag for these certain situations, but i saw this on the outdoor channel, and they seem to sound pretty good. Anyone have any insight on this product? http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_10202607_425009000_425000000_425009000_425-9-0 dan

I think they sound pretty good though. I personally thought it sounded better than a bag. Nice and portable for easy carrying too. I'm interested, but I'll wait and see till its a little closer to late October.
Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
Y I think they sound pretty good though. I agree. I messed around with one at Cabelas a couple days ago. They sounded pretty good, and I got a lot of sound out of them with very little pressure. I don't know if it was because I was indoors in a big building, but I thought the sound was really good. I didn't put them together the way they are supposed to be carried, but the size didn't seem like it would be to bad.
The_Kat
A rattle bag is half the price....pretty neat looking gadget though.
toddyboman
I tried one a BassPro a few weeks ago....and personally I thought it sounded terrible!! As did the other 4 random guys that was standing around trying it out for themselves too. I would not recommend it. I will be sticking with my real horns or an old rattle bag.
