They should be in their summer feeding patterns when the archery season starts on the 12th. I actually see a decline a little closer to season as the increased human travels in the deer woods prior to season hanging stands and early baiting educates the deer a bit. hdhiii Posted September 4, 2009 Author Report Share Posted September 4, 2009 In Portage County Wisconsin where we go bow hunting, we counted 57 deer last night in a 5 mile loop we usually drive in the truck.
