LifeNRA
I dont have one that I'm willing to sell but if your looking for capes, hen saddles, etc.... I have a drawer full Thanks Gary! But right now I need the vise first. I tied a few zebra midges, last night I caught my first trout on a fly that I tied. The vise I am using is a tad too big for size 18 hooks, but it can be done. Just got to be extra careful. The prices for a fly tying vises are really crazy!:wacko::wacko:
GWSmith
I use a lighted magnifying glass doing small work. It will help alot if you hide the point of the hook in the vise too;) Good luck finding a nice rotary...the price ranges wildy depending on where you buy them. Hopefully someone here has one they just dont use anymore:helpsmilie:
RangerClay
I have 2 vises in the cellar collecting dust. Not sure if they are rotary. Do you have a pic of what you want?
LifeNRA
I am looking at a Peak Rotary. But I will not pass up any chance at a decent vise that will allow me to tie for now. The Peak, will be bought after Xmas. Any pics there Ranger? Yeah, I keep the hook point inside the vise. I have to! Due to the size of the vise jaws. Otherwise the super fine thread gets cut from the point. RangerClay
Any pics there Ranger? . I know what they look like but I have to go dig for them. If you had a picture I would know if it is what you want. I'm not sure if what I have is what you want. These cost about $15 a piece. backwoods07
If you sat me in front of that thing (without the fly attached) and gave me 24 hours to tell you what it's for and how to use it, I promise you I wouldn't get anywhere close. LifeNRA
Well. If you still want to get rid of them. I might be interested. The AA vise I have now, the jaws are too big. I am looking for something that has smaller jaws.
