Bowtech_archer07 Posted September 28, 2009 Report Share Posted September 28, 2009 Dad and I went out squirrel hunting this morning so I could redeem myself for a poor night of shooting last night(went 0-6 and was not happy). Anyway, we went out and a beautiful morning, cool, lots of dew, and clear... absolutely beautiful. Well, I'd already put 3 squirrels in my vest and was standing on a deer trail when I saw a head and ears.. it was a deer. So I stepped off the trail, sat down by a tree, and got as much skin covered as I could. It turned out it was a spotted fawn and it got about 20 yards from me on the trail and I don't think it knew I was there. The only bad thing was, as I was watching the deer, I had a squirrel come about 7 yards from me on the ground and I couldn't get a shot.. LOL.
