Jeramie
This is an opinion thread so I thought it fit the Lounge better. I picked up a 360 acre spot to hunt this year. A woman I work with owns 360 acres in Marble City, OK. Its all hardwoods (oaks). The problem she is having is that her neighbor is a backwoods hillbilly. He has been leasing her land and she just found out. He is also dozing timber on her place and such. I told her I would get the warden involved and then hand it over to her to handle. Im going to try and call him today. Im just not sure where to go with this. Ive never ran into this kind of situation. My family has over 1k acres in our ranch so ive never really hunted anyone else. I think this year will be mainly to help her recover her place. She wants to be involved as little as possible (she is a little shy and such) but wants me and another guy at work to have full run of her place! Not being the land owner I know im limited. How would everyone handle this?
Texan_Til_I_Die
Not sure about Oklahoma law, but in Texas you can be classified as the landowner's agent and that basically gives you full control over the surface activities on the land. You might want to look into something like that.
BuckNrut
Basically the same thing here in NY.
