Ilbowman
I want to apologize to all the forum members about my "Check this buck out" post. Origianally I was told my buddies brother killed this buck. Well after I posted the pic on here the story and the rumors began to unravel. I spoke with my buddy a little later in the day and told him he needed to check with his brother again cause this is aweful fishy. Well later that day I checked priairiestateoutdoors.com's website and they had the same pic I did plus another one with two old guys standing behind the buck with no tag on the deer at all... So a little more fishy the story gets... Called my buddy again and he called his dad which told him that five guys were hunting the same area and one of those guys was the one that killed him not his brother.. Now looking back on it I'm almost 100% positive that this deer was killed in a pen, which if thats the case this was one expensive pet to be killled! ruttinbuc
Bummer, Ryan. Sometimes we just get caught up in the excitement of big antlers, lol! I had my suspicions from the start. With no person in the picture with a buck like that it just looks bogus. I know if I had killed one like that or anywhere close I'd be in every picture. It wouldn't go public so soon, either. Wonder how much this one cost? :sleep1:
Jeramie
That happens.... The pic of the cougar killing the buck under a feeder has been in circulation for a while. My parents got a hold of it and were amazed that it was taken in Mayes County Oklahoma! (actually it was in Texas with a game cam). A neighbor told them he had taken the shot at night while sitting over his feeder scouting. My Parents believed him. I later ran into that moron. He tried to sale me the same line and I promptly told him the shot was taken by a game cam in Texas and it was a well known photo. He probably would be better to try and sale a lesser known photo as his own... He tripped over his boots trying to sprint back to his truck.. People are full of it. That doesnt mean you are.... Ilbowman
Thanks guys. What irritates me the most is that the guy that told me about this is the one that was lied by his own brother!! I also have another great deer pic someone sent me this morning, but Im not going to post any story till I wait a little while. I will post the pic though cause it has a hunter holding the deer.
