MCH
Velvet tail.... Nice... Those are angry little critters. The one I killed this morning was what we call a timber rattler, but it had a "velvet" tail as well. Little sucker(2 foot) was coiled up on some vines about 3 feet off the ground. I was eye level when I first saw it, looking for a blood trail. Scary thing is that I walked right past it at least twice without seeing it. Timbers are often called Velvet tails and Diamonds are called Coon Tails.

Shaun_300
You guys can keep all of those poisonous snakes down there! Don't see too many snakes in this area, and the ones you do are either water snakes or garter snakes.
