lil hunter
Thats it? I only have a 26 gallon tank. Back when gas was getting ridiculous around here a couple years back I remember hitting the $95-100 range a couple times. I'm pretty sure I passed $100 at least once. It was no fun. Jeramie
Ditto. Summer of '08 was bad. Distinctly remember getting filled up for over $80 a few times. Yep Yep.... It took around $100 to top off the F150. Good thing its just our farm truck. Its much better now per gallon but that is only a sign of the economy. Oil industry is hurting right now too.... OUTSIDER
While with the military on the way to new orleans in the days after katrina, we had to stop and fill up our humvees, with diesel, which was over 7.50 per gallon (price gouging at its best) i do not remember what it came out too, but i know those things have huge tanks. TBow
A couple years ago, gas was running well over a $1.00 per LITRE here in Canada. I think it actually hit something like $1.35 a litre for a short time. Now for those who don't know, it takes 4.5 litres to make 1 imperial gallon. An imperial gallon is about 1/5th larger than a US gallon. At costs in excess of $1.30 per litre, an imperial gallon would cost in the neighborhood of $6.00 cdn. With the cdn to US exchange and factoring in the Imperial to US gallon, a US gallon of gas would still run over $4.00 at those rates. I used to drive a Ford Excursion at work with a 150 litre tank. That's approximately 33 imp. gal. I filled it up once when it was near empty when gas was in excess of $1.30 per imp. gal. It took 148 litres and cost over $180 cdn to fill 'er up. The gas attendant actually stopped pumping at one point and bent over to look under the truck to see if it was leaking out onto the ground.....which it wasn't! Gas in Canada is currently $0.90 to $1.00 cdn per litre depending on where you live. It makes the cost of gas for an extended hunting trip in Canada, for residents, one of the largest items when considering budgeting for that trip where driving is the main means of transportation.
