We won't have ours up until probably next week, when I take a hike to a secret patch of White Spruce and Balsam Fir...Our tree gets smaller every year, lol. The smell of those trees though...mmmmm...

LOL Ours has gotten so small that it's non-existent now. Saves having to take it down!

We went out and cut ours last weekend. That's been a tradition with my family since I got my own home 30+ years ago. We cut ours at a tree plantation where I used to work as a kid. The owners were friends and hunting partners of my father.

I've always had a real tree and can't see going fake for the forseeable future. My kids however, who are all grown and moved out, have all been lured to the dark side and now have fake trees that were likely assembled by elves on some foreign shore that isn't even remotely close to the North Pole. :angel2:

I'll post pics when it's up next weekend, but it typically takes me 8 to 10 hours just to get the lights on it with the new and improved (?) method my wife has come up with for me to adhere to!

Got to get mine out of the attic this week. Was too busy with the garage sale last weekend. I dont like artificial trees, but this one is about 8 years old and still looks good and has sure saved us some $ over the years.

I remember going out to cut some ugly old cedars when I was a kid. Those were the good ole days.
