layin on the smackdown
Any of you midwesterners have any updates on the severity of this crap coming into our area? Its blowing hard, lots of snow, but the meteorologists can't seem to pinpoint how much and when. I think we are suppose to get between 6-14 inches depending on location...I think the natives from the land of the chesse up north a little are suppose to get a little more than us in northern IL...Its coming down pretty good now... Be safe out there!!! dan

Ravin R10 man
The storm is in a line with the twin cities n.e. to Rhinelander on the north..we are getting lake effect snow from the counterclockwise wrap around winds off the low from the n.e. Then the cold air will follow behind when this moves out and wind changes to north, to n.w. we got about 3 or 4 inches it started snowing late Tues here. The wind has picked up too. Maybe I shoulda been a meterologists..I could get paid for being wrong! Edited December 9, 2009 by Mathews XT Man
Slash
the driveway and yard has about a foot of snow, and i'm about 45 minutes west of martin, kind of a big difference, but I hear that they are keeping the schools open even further west so it must not be too bad the further west you go. now i gotta go try and get my little neon out of the tundra that is our driveway. have a good day, be safe! gzilla45
I got about 8-10 inches through this morning and it is still coming down like crazy. I hope they get the roads cleared up better than they are before the wind and bitter cold hits us. The drive to work this morning sure was interesting.
