coles
Send up some prayers for a family here in Choteau. Last night the little sporting goods store they own burned to the ground. Went down and watched them fight it for a little while and it was really sad. Have not heard how it started but i have heard some rumors of a wood stove in the back that might have caused it. They were hauling some stuff out today so they might have salvaged some of it but the building is a total loss. The firedepartment should have let it burn more. At least there would be less to tear down and haul away. They really only used the front half of the building for their business and the fire looked like it was mainly burning in the back so I hope they got to save some of it. buckee
That's a shame. I hope they had some good insurance coverage. If not, then yes, they do need prayers.
Shaun_300
That's too bad Cole, fire always seems to destroy homes and business around Christmas time, it's horrible. Like Steve said, hopefully they have a good insurance company!

coles
Found out that the fire was started by the wood stove and they didnt have insurance. The building was too old and in bad shape and couldnt get insurance on it but im not sure if they had insurance on the merchandise. Most of the stuff in the business part of the building had water and smoke damage. I think they saved some of it. Its just a shame and I dont think the family is dealing with it to well.
