Here a link to my 2009 buck. http://www.realtree.com/forums/showthread.php?t=92960

He came in at about 50 yds and picked up my scent trail I laid down. He was facing me the entire time, and he stopped at about 18 yds or so. He just stood there testing the wind and looking around, I know he looked up at me a few times, but didnt seem to notice me. Well, he decided he didnt like something after standing there without moving for a few minutes. He took a step to his right to turn to leave, thats when I drew back. By the time I got anchored and found him in the peep, he was quartering away HARD. I put the pin at the back of his rib cage and released. He took off and I heard him go down. I was hunting some pretty knarly stuff so I didnt see him go down, so I started to track him and wasnt finding much blood at all...there was plenty where I hit him, but only a few drops every few yards.

I started to question whether I heard him fall or just crash through something. I decided to go another 30 yds or so....and there he was, dead as can be. The arrow went in near the last rib and came out just in front of the opposite shoulder. Thats what was keeping the blood from coming out was his shoulder being in front of the hole with every step. I ended up getting one lung, and must of clipped an artery because his chest cavity was filled with blood. He went about 80yds total.
