The_Kat Posted February 12, 2010 Report Share Posted February 12, 2010 Well I got word today that I'm not eligible to apply for AST until Oct 2011 for a minor technicality on my background. Apparently that beer I was caught with when I was 19 is enough to DQ me until 5 years passes between the ticket and the application date. Thankfully I'm in a field that doesn't require background checks etc. To me, a DUI should NOT be a criminal charge. We get looked at the same as freakin murderers do. I got a public intox for drinking at my college dorm when I was 19. I agree DUI should get harsh tickets. I lost my best friend to a drunk driver.
