Stone Cold
Here is one of my familys favorites! You know me I always have something up my sleave for food! LOL This is actually a deer recipe and then I tried it with some chicken and boy I made the right move! Chicken/Venison Recipe Ingredients 3 tablespoons of Canola Oil 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce 1-2 teaspoons Minced Garlic 1/2 teaspoon Ground Pepper 1 (1 1/2 lb) package of Venison Steak or Chicken Directions 1. Mix all marinade ingredients together in a small measuring cup. 2. Place steaks/chicken in a large zip lock bag. 3. Pour Marinade over steaks/chicken and seal bag. 4. Place bag in flat casserole dish so that the steaks/chicken are in a single layer. 5. Refrigerate and marinate at least 4 hours, turning every half hour to marinate each side. 6. Drain marinade and grill “On tinfoil” steaks to desired doneness. 7. I double or triple this recipe for each addition package of steak. Any wild game steak can be used in this recipe. I also let marinate for 24 to 48 hours and they taste better. I then flip when I go to bed then flip before work in morning then every half hour after that. Good to have friends that will do that with you and not leave you hanging. I'm a chicken breast with BBQ sauce on the grill kinda guy. Famous Dave's BBQ sauce is excellent. :eat:

wtnhunt
That was a great deal John. Fajitas, tacos and other mexican dishes, chicken and dumplins, chicken pot pie, or chicken on the grill there are endless ways to fix chicken. Got a few recipes around here somewhere. camoman1
This one is pretty simple, but we like it around here. Its oven 'fried' chicken fingers. We cut the chicken into strips (chicken strip size lol). Soak them in buttermilk, with some garlic, cayenne, and whatever else sounds good at the time. Let them soak for a few hours, then roll them in lightly crushed Corn Flakes. Pop 'em in the oven and we like to dip them in Ranch or some BBQ sauce. You get the fried crunch, without the oil mess and calories.
Ohiobucks
My wife reminded me of her "Yummy Chicken" dish (this is what my youngest son Brant has been calling it since he was old enough to talk..... ) Cooked and shredded chicken mixed with cream of chicken soup, cheese soup, whatever spices you have on the spice rack, and served over mashed potatoes. :tt1:
redkneck
Sounds good and super easy there Tom. Camoman I've seen cornflake recipes before but have never tried one, I'll have to give that one a shot! William you're right, you can use chicken for just about anything, I was just looking for something different to do. We always use dark meat for the dumplings, I'll have to pick up a case of leg quarters soon to make some, havent had it in a while.
wtnhunt
How bout poppy seed chicken John: We have this about 2x a month, the kids love it. Cook 4 large boneless skinless chicken breasts, then shred them. In a baking dish(we use an 8x8) mix the shredded chicken with 2 small cans or 1 large can of cream of chicken or cream of mushroom soup, about a tablespoon of poppy seeds, and about a cup or so of sour cream. I never measure the sour cream, just scoop it out. Take a tube of ritz or keebler townhouse crackers and smash em up and pour them over the mixture in your baking dish. Drizzle melted butter or margarine over the crackers and put in the oven at 350 for about 30 minutes or until the crackers are golden brown. Here is another one the kids love that we have often, found this one on a package of cheese: Cheesy mexican chicken Again about 4 pieces of chicken cooked shredded mix in a can of cream of chicken about a half cup of milk, your favorite taco seasoning and about a cup and a half of shredded cheddar in a baking dish. Top with tortilla chips and bake at 350 covered for about 30 minutes. While that is cooking make white rice in the same skillet you used to cook the chicken, usually use 4 or so chicken bouillon cubes in that water for that rice to give it chicken flavor or suppose you could use the prepackaged type chicken flavored rice. Remove foil/cover and top the chips with another half cup of shredded cheddar and bake another 10 minutes or so uncovered. When the cheese is melted good take it out and serve with the rice and with your favorite salsa or taco sauce.
HUNTINGMAN
I made some smothered chicken breast last night and it was great,I have pics but can't figure out how to get them off my I-phone. I lightly fried the breast in evoo until lightly brown. I placed it on a bakeing pan and then placed on a pile of bacon, sauted onions, bell peppers and mushrooms. Then layered a generous portion of mozzerela cheese. Bake in the oven until the cheese is good and melted. I had baked tater a side of baked beans with peppers and onions diced in them and a big crescent role.

camoman1
You sure there is chicken on that plate? Haha!! I bet its there somewhere....looks good to me though! Made an interesting chicken meal tonite. Needs some tweeking, but it was ok. Cooked some chicken breasts in a pan with some garlic and a little olive oil. Once they were about done, added some lime juice( enough to coat the bottom of the pan) and cilantro. Then added some cubed orange pieces towards the end. It was good, pretty limey and acidic, but the orange had a sweet taste to it.....this recipe needs a little work, but it has a good start.
