Hunt or be Hunted Posted March 2, 2010 Report Share Posted March 2, 2010 There was just a earthquake about 1 hour from me in Cairo IL. Happened at 1:37 PM today, so about 30 minutes ago. It was a 3.2. As far as I know right now no one was hurt but a lot of people felt it. Just a matter of time I think before a big one hits I mean its all you hear anymore is earthquake here earthquake there. But I'm just glad this one was not to bad. jbeck Posted March 2, 2010 Report Share Posted March 2, 2010 I listened to an expert from Montana the other day on the news and he said there hasn't been any increase in activity over the last 100 years, we are just more aware of any activity around the world. layin on the smackdown Posted March 2, 2010 Report Share Posted March 2, 2010 Thats crazy talk there Jeremy....That is, i think, the 3rd earthquake in IL in the last 4 years...2 of which were this year...i would hypothesize that this is significant to some extent....i think that Leo had mentioned earlier this year, that this fault we are on/near is due for a major earthquake, and maybe these tremors are the warning signs....she's rumbling and definitely alive....then again, it could be nothing, just science noting small activity....only time will tell. glad to hear everyone down there is alright.
