HUNTINGMAN Posted March 6, 2010 Report Share Posted March 6, 2010 My loveing kids have spilt cola on the keyboard of my desktop computer and the keys are realy sticky now.Some of them you cant hardly use.I was wondering if anyone new a good way of getting them clean and in good working order again.I just want ttto through this thing out the window it makes me so mad.Thanks in advance for any advice. gzilla45 Posted March 6, 2010 Report Share Posted March 6, 2010 Keyboards are fairly cheap now so I would just throw it out the window and get a new one as liquid damage might not show it's ugly head right away. redkneck Posted March 6, 2010 Report Share Posted March 6, 2010 They only way to clean up sticky keys is to pop them off one by one and clean them with a swab and alcohol. ruttinbuc Posted March 6, 2010 Report Share Posted March 6, 2010 Keyboards are prone to this kind of thing. I have used warm running water and a dishrag to clean them. It has all kinds of special buttons on it specific to my Dell xps one computer,I have no idea what one would cost but I'm sure there not cheap.
