The_Kat
Funny how quickly things change. At my senior prom you had to wear a tux. You couldn't skimp out on one and just wear pressed jeans and a blazer. The girls couldn't wear very revealing dresses, and the cut backs were no no's too. The quote in there about letting her wear what she wants kinda raises a flag to me. I know girls who would probably go to prom in a bra n panties....or less lol. Ya gotta draw a line somewhere and I think schools are a good place to draw it. If ya wanna be gay, be gay, but don't bring that crap to school. redkneck
You know I caught a glimpse of that on the news this morning, but ignored the story thinking it was somewhere else. I say let them have the prom, they're spoiling everyone else's fun!
Hunt or be Hunted
. If ya wanna be gay, be gay, but don't bring that crap to school. Could have not said that better myself Kyle!. My family has been talking about this all day. But i still think they should have had it, whats in it for the rest of the school?

preacherman
I live in Itawamba County. It is sad that this is happening. Our little town has been turned upside down the last few months. First a cross dressing teen moves in and goes to school turning everything upside down and now this. This young lady does not even have a clue what life is all about. She has caused so much trouble in our town.

RangerClay
I'm sorry but this is just the tip of the iceberg heading your way southern states. In my 7th grade lunch room the lesbians have their own table, sometimes two. Kids are experimenting with it as a form of safe sex. I have to be very careful when I discipline these girls because they claim discrimation just like the blacks all claiming racism. Personally I support what this school did but this is just the beginning of more to come.

It is really sad that we have had to deal with this. Without a doubt, this has been one of the toughest school years that we have faced. First, an assistant coach gets fired for texting an "inappropriate" photo of himself to a student. Then we have this "cross dressing" guy that comes to school in tight street walkin' pants and heels. That came to an uproar and really started this girls mess, because they sent him home for not following the dress code. She started mouthing off then about "rights" and such. Then out of the blue, she wants to come to school with her "girlfriend" who won't even come out and show her face. Our children have been through enough this year. Just ready to get the school year done!
wtnhunt
Been to Itawamba county many times and best as I recall it is very rural. This kind of thing is not exclusive to big cities, it is all over. Rules are rules, but let them have their prom. If the girls show and don't follow the rules they should not allow them to enter, pretty simple.

This ol' world is going to **** in a hand basket, really quick these days, and our children need our loving guidance more than ever before.. HUNTINGMAN
It's a sad world we live in today. The kids now a days are nothing lime they used to be,they have been totaly missguided in some life lessons. If that's the life style they choose then let them be but not everybody agrees with that lifestyle and doesn't even want to here about it. I will say no more on this touchy subject for I don't want to be banned from this great site.
