Let there be light

Got sick of the boring regular halogen lights, so I got a set of 6000K HID (High intensity discharge) headlights, WOW what a difference! Looks like a spaceship coming at ya. :D I have to aim them down a little lower then they are now so I don't get flashed all the time. But anyway, if you guys are having a hard time seeing at night, get some of these! Easy to install, unplug your factory light bulb and plug these in, runs through a ballast that you mount under the hood (one for each bulb), no cutting wires and splicing, just plug and play. I just did the low beams. Then wired my headlights so that when I flick to high beams, the low beam (HIDs) and high beam bulbs are on at the same time, so all 4 are on, 2 HID's and 2 Sylvainia SilverStar Ultra halogens. These pics are just on low beam only.

The last few years that I've gone moose hunting in northern Ontario, I haul a utility trailer that puts a fair amount of weight on the rear of the truck and makes it squat, lifting the headlights skyward. I keep getting flashed by oncoming vehicles that think I have the hibeams on. I figure if I had those HID lights on the old girl, transports would be running me off the road.

Yeah you have to be careful when towing trailers with heavy tongue weights. If you're going on a long haul like that you should aim them down a little before the trip, It's real easy to do!
