m gardner
Yep, that's a black widow. Had lots of them around when I lived in Fruita, Co. They will make you sick but I never heard of anybody dying. Now I see scorpions but only occasionally. Got nailed 3 years ago and was sick for a week. hogwild63
Yes it is. aaahhhhhh :crutch: I have seen them in person. At my deer camp in Buffalo, Tx, I went to stick my hand in the hole to turn on the water to the cabin and good thing I looked 'cause there was a whole family of them. Wobbly_Alaska
I was living in Valdez ak... ( home of the Exxon spill) and got a box of tools from northern tool.com and in the Styrofoam peanuts was a black widow... she was rather sluggish that fine may morning.... we also have seen an increase in the brown recluse up here on the military bases... from folks moving in and out.... ruttinbuc
I hunted in Kentucky once and was in awe of of all of the arachnids there that I never saw before. Didn't see any black widows.
Larry
Definately a Black Widow, we have them here at work, along with Brown Recluses
Jeramie
We have those and brown reculse here (fiddleback). Even if you spray its nothing to see a fiddle back running along the base boards during the spring/ summer. I HATE those things. Especially now that we have kids. Im worried one will end up in bed with them.

gzilla45
If I saw something like that I think it would be on the receiving end of some #8 shot. I can't stand spiders.
Leo
Yep, that was a black widow. Gotta be careful with pop up blinds around here because those spiders like them.
