Hunt or be Hunted
I use a 12 GA. Or a 20 GA. Shotgun
Goinghuntin
Depending how I feel that day I'll choose either my 12ga. or .22. I used to use a 20ga. all the time and it shot just as many squirrels as the 12. Nathan

dbHunterNY
I've shot critters with a .22 LR Magtech, 30-06, 20ga Mossberg 500, and a Benelli 12ga. Lately, I've been out with my bow.
Shaun_300
I don't eat them, but do kill some for Gran since they do a lot of damage around the resort. Usually use my .22 or the 28 gauge.

Strut10
Havent shot a squirrel in years........probably 15 or 20 years. If I were to pick a dedicated squirrelin' gun, it'd be a 20 ga. single with #5 shot.

hungry hunter
My favorite is Traditions .32 cal Muzzle loader, unless the wife is in a competive mood then its the ruger 10/22.

I can shot the eye out of a squirrle at 50 yards with that rifle. :gun2:

Doc
Most of the time I use a 12 guage. It's almost free. A bunch of years ago, I reloaded quite a few boxes of #6 shot (practically a life-time's supply - maybe a dozen boxes of 25 or so). Now I am looking at going after them with my .22 Hornet. Trying to add a bit more sport into it all instead of just meat-gathering. However, If I don't keep up with my annual supply of squirrel meat, I'll definitely pull the shotgun out again and get whatever I need. gvhorwitz
Guns? I thought I would use an air rifle, so I bought a .17. The problem is that .17 pellets go right through and lack the mass to kill squirrels. The fact is that I still haven't hunted squirrels yet. I sure want to though.
