Tominator Posted April 12, 2010 Report Share Posted April 12, 2010 Last year, with the help of Casey, Kyle, William, Luke, Craig and my buddy Tom, my class raised over $300 to help a young man in our school system who suffers from Cystic Fibrosis. Today we kicked off our annual fund raiser for help in finding a cure for this terrible disease. With your help maybe we can find better treatments like Nick is now receiving. The newest development in the treatment of CF is the liver enzyme pill that Nick now takes that helps his liver function. This new pill is a direct result of research on bears. Scientists discovered that bears make a special enzyme in their livers that allow them to survive hibernation. Who knows, maybe the money we raised last year had something to do with that research.
