Decoys?

Anybody ever used decoys for deer & if so tell me about your experiences.

I just bought one at the end of the season last year. I haven't had a chance to use it yet. It will be interesting to see what others respond.

Yep use one every year. Have good success with Primos Scarface. The thing I like about it, is that it MOVES!! To me that is very important. With any slight breeze the head, tail or even body will/could move some.

I often use it when rattling. Has worked on more than once!

I use scarface. Haven't had it work yet with a mature buck, but I've had does and young bucks walk all around it.

I personally have not had luck with deer decoys.

i had one good buck come into my montana decoy but i set it up too close and he spooked

That's the decoy I've been wanting. Scarface has some good looks I bought the Flambeau buck decoy for my Dad last year and we used it a few times. The setup we were in wasn't so good, so I'll hold judgment on it for now but it never pulled a deer in for us.
