New hunting ground

I will have the priviledge of deer hunting a new farm this year. I turkey hunted it this past spring but this will be the first time I hang a stand or two and deer hunt it. I have a pic of it off of google earth that I improved a little bit for my own use.

I outlined the property in orange, and roughly painted in the two creeks on the property. Already hung one stand this summer, its where the little red dot is beside the creek on the left (west) side of the property. All the surrounding fields are corn or beans, except for the top right corner on the neighboring property is hay. Im really excited to hunt the rut here. No one has really deer hunted it much in recent years. Anything about the property that is deer hunting related really stand out to anyone? Im still in the process of figuring it out. Im not used to so much open field. Its close to 3/4 of a mile from one creek to the other.

looks like you will need more than two or three stands that looks like a big chunk of ground well i hope you rifle hunt it to well good luck to you getting a few off of that place man

Cool...you ought to check out the other side of the creek from the stand you already hung in the area where the field on the neighbor's property takes a 45 degree turn toward the NW. Your NW corner area looks interesting too. There ought to be something going on west of the creek on the east side. You may need to walk it to get a feel for it. Can't really tell what it ties into south of your place.

You are right about the 45 in the neighboring field, If I could ever get a trail cut over there I would like to hang a stand there. The stuff is so thick its unreal. The whole area was logged several years ago so the underbrush is extremely thick. The stand I have already hung is in an area thats alittle more open but the deer are funneling through there well from the looks of all the tracks. The east side strip of woods turns into a hayfield just south of the map. I found the skull and rack of a heavy 8 pointer in the that area about half way down the creek this spring.

i would also look in the little strip that comes out there on the right side of the map into the field there may be another stand you can put up well and the creek in the middle of the property maybe some good stuff in there to
