Dakota Posted September 30, 2010 Report Share Posted September 30, 2010 ANTELOPE SEASON IS ALMOST HERE!!!!!!! :D:D I know it has started in many places, but South Dakota rifle opener is this weekend and I'm really bummed that I won't be out opening morning. Because Dad has his guard weekend this weekend, we'll be going out next weekend instead, which is alright I guess. Second weekend makes for some interesting hunts; you're dealing with both first and second season hunters, the goats are skittish as heck and it's usually cold, snowy and miserable...I love it! Still, it's nice to hunt opener and get a chance at a nice pair of horns. Okay, so here's the deal. Since I'm not able to go until next weekend, I was to see your antelope pics (not like I've ever asked this before, right? ). I don't care if it's buck, doe, fawn/kid or a picture of your trophy on the wall...I want to see them! I have a wierd antelope addiction, okay?! Here are a few of mine and my Dad's and I know many of you have seen them before. 2007 (I spent 17 years of my life without antelope hunting...what a waste...) The start of a terrible addiction with a second weekend doe. Dad's first big game animal. 2008 Rifle opener; young buck and doe down within the first 20 minutes of shooting light. 2009 Gillette, WY 9/'09 First big game bow kill Second big game bow kill Second weekend rifle season in SD Dad and I left no survivors...
