I use to be a Metal Detector Dealor and sold several cheap detectors for finding arrows, especially when the aluminum shafts were more common. If you know the general area of where it was lost, than it shouldn't be to hard to find them. Just be cautious on walking around and don't step on a broad head that might go through a soft shoe. I am always hunting public land so i try to be as scent free as possible. With my years of hunting with the public around the rut phases, i have seen all kinds of attractants being used,so i figure if i can get behind the hunting pressure and have the wind right, this gives me usage of all there rutting scents around me and i am in the shadows with a good grunt call and usually successful every year. This is one of my best kept scent secrets, lol. kyhunter

Yeah, the poundage has alot to do with it and then the arrows are made up for that poundage pulled.I personally only use 2 pins but it's because that is what i am used,i shoot with these up to 40 yrds.I am pulling 70 lbs. kyhunter

Hello Everyone,I would like to invite everyone into the chatrooms around 8:30pm.There are some great people that already use the room each night and it would be really neat to add some more conversation. You don't have to stay long, just pop in and say hello if you want,We used to have alot of people in there back in the days and being that our hunting seasons are starting up and other topics we should have plenty to chat about. Take Care and hope to hear from ya, Kyhunter

I think it is good to get the chance to kill a really nice deer early into hunting. That way you can see what passing the smaller ones provide.I do alot of public land hunting and even with it's hunting pressure,i see alot of small bucks and i let them walk.I Think killing the deer is alot easier than hunting them,so it's up to you to decide when the hunt is over. kyhunter

Good Luck Ethan and i hope you have a great season.I do alot of publicland here in Ky and been doing quite a bit of scouting, checking waterholes and the acorn trees.I am very impressed of all the Fawns i have been seeing,so too me this is a good sign for us.Thankfully we have had alot more rain this year and should make a great season. Re: Truck Troubles Hey Buckee sounds like the linkage nut loosened up some. You need to block the tires from rolling, jack the truck up on the front drivers side, put a jack stand under the drivers side, look on the drivers side of the tranny, you will see a rod coming down pointing forward to the front side of the tranny, there will be a brace that bolts into the tranny with the the rod going through it,this is your shifter linkage and there should be a nut that tightens the rod down into this brace. When you know the tranny is in park take the rod and pull it forward into the brace which is your shifter linkage and tighten the nut back down,This should have you back in proper gear placement. this is a pretty simple deal if it is all that is wrong. kyhunter

Re: Tick repellant [ QUOTE ] I use Permanone during turkey season and it works great. Spray it on clothes only though. It's odorless once it dries (I think). [/ QUOTE ] I use nothing but permanone, don't seem to bother the Deer and is the best i've seen for ticks. Kyhunter
