Help me out here I personally would think that the Deer would feel more comfortable in the opening during the morning hoursand skirting the woodlines.Then after the hunting pressure progresses they would hang to the benches in the thicker cover,so they can pick up a better wind. jmo, kyhunter

Re: How would you rate this string of luck Gosh j.b that definetly is terrible.They say things happen for a reason,let's try to put this together maybe you fell out of the tree,because you are tough and the next guy that may have climbed it may not be as lucky as you.Maybe the cars battery messed up to save you from a car wreck that could have possibly occured if you have left at that time and you couldnt have advoided it due to slow reflexes from being sore.Your landlord was saved from alot of suffering due to there illnessand may rest in peace.You possibly busted through the ceiling to kinda warn you that things were going to happen and subconciencly had you prepared for a fall out of the tree.The plastic piece on the car broken is just for air flow to help keep the heat down under the hood,but is really not needed.The great thing of it is,is that you are here to rate you your own string of luck and Alot of us can pray for everything else to work out for you. I know how it is with the public land,i hunt ALOT of it.I do think that i would let the guy know that you may hunt there from time to time,just to let him know you may be walking in the area and maybe find out when he may be moving around.It makes it alot safer to know where people are. kyhunter

Hello,i hunt out of a tree stand the majority of the time.It is a Summit Viper XLS and i like it very much.I also like ground blind hunting when i get the opportunity to hunt private land,but i hunt public land most of the time and feel safer up above the unexperienced.I will have to say that ground blind hunting with a bow is my favorite. kyhunter

AM hunt What i think is great about this,is that you have encountered what may be a start of some great pre rut hunting and all you have to do is help manage the doe ratio alittle.Good luck and i hope there is a big 180 dominate buck that comes running in for ya when it is time to shoot the buck. kyhunter

A couple of things that come to mind that i have seen that makes hunting great.I have had Deer bed down a few yards behind me in a ground blind.Wild Turkeys land in a tree beside of me to Roost.It definetly makes me feel that i am undetectable while Hunting. I would have to change the topic a little though and say ,What makes my Hunting the Best,is the things that i dont see in the woods,like my work place ,Automobile traffic and above all,the Noise. kyhunter

Re: If you could hunt with a pro? Gosh 1strut,i never thought of me as a expert and i am not the guys from Ohio but heck i fall in that critera.Thanks. I have hunted the same woods at the same time with Knight & Hale and i have hunted the same woods with Hank Williams jr. I have talked to Roger Raglin about hunting with us here in Ky. I like what was said about the difference about a Pro and Expert.Alot of us all have the same techniques of Hunting,but a Professional has a smaller time limit to bring down that Monster Buck and are Sponsered and able to cover alot more tags from other places.It would be great to hunt with the most of them but i prolly would choose Michael Waddel or Jeff Foxworthy.Overall tho,if it was possible i would choose alot of you to hunt with because there are some excellent Hunters here and most have Great respect for Hunting. kyhunter
