  1. Found some of this over the weekend, and bought some yesterday for shooting snakes with. A little pricey, but I like the fact I can carry my pistol and not my shotgun! I was concerned with how they would cycle, if at all, but they did, and even got to try them out on a copperhead last night, and I am pleased to say the least!!! Think I found me a ne snake killing combo!
  2. Yessir!!!!! BUT, and I hate to say this, but I am concerned that if someone is openly carrying, if that may bring unwanted attention to them by someone who may be up to noggod, and wanna "prove" themselves. I'm kinda on the fence about this actually.
  3. Because my oldest son got ACCEPTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He starts this fall, majoring in Architectural Engineering. Sure made me proud to say the least. Gave him his graduation gift this past weekend, took him to the Indy car and Truck race in Kansas City, complete with Garage and Pit passes. The look on his face while we were cruising those areas was priceless. Next time I get a chance I'll post some pics.

  6. Redbeard, I gotta say, even though I don't turkey hunt, I can't wait for turkey season to read your stories. Can't wait for the next one!!
  7. OOOOPS!!!!!!! LOL!!!! Guess I missed it, but that's also the downfall of not getting on here much anymore. RB, Glad to see a thunderchicken has met his maker. Guess I need to read me a bedtime story, lol!!!!

    Hurt Locker

To me it was more of a "drama", I was expecting more action than what it had. But I also am somewhat "biased" when it comes to potraying military influenced movies, and don't like any that take things out of proportion.

    Hurt Locker

Who here saw this? I watched it this weekend, and for all the awards it won, I just didn't see the hype. Several "things" that took place just wouldn't have happened in real life. The scene where they are drinking, Alcohol, last I knew, was BANNED in Iraq. The scene where the car was on fire outside the embassy, YET all the wiring was not melted???? COMEON!!!!! Guess that's Hollywood for ya:fish::fish:
  12. Happy Birthday Todd!!!! Hope its a good'un!!!
  13. Is coming to Roanoke, Tx April 24-25th. Looks like I am gonna head down that way and see what all the hoopla is about!! Anyone else going?
  14. I keep both my pistols loaded with one in the chamber. But if I show them to someone I either let them know, or unload it

    New Job update

Have a shop day today, and figured I'd stop in and give an update. Here I am two months into the new job, and couldn't be happier!!!! Didn't start off to good, had a few growing "pains", but that has all been worked out. I left a company I had been with for just over 10yrs, so you can imagine the stress of making this decision, but it looks like I made the right one. My stress level is not nearly what it used to be, I'd get home at night and be completely worn out, and asleep by 9, now it's usually ten, ten thirty. We started a statewide contract last week rebanding the 800MHZ radios, and this is going to last the better part of two years. This is gonna have me travelling all over the state of Oklahoma as well, and this is something I REALLY REALLY wanted to do. (hence why I am not on as much) We also have a contract to install a complete 911 dispacthing center that is coming up, and I will be going to Seattle, Wa next month for factory certification on that. All that coupled with the service contracts we have, I am gonna be one person man for a long time to come. We also are installing lights, sirens, radios, etc for public safety personnel as well, and have a person here that does that. Rob is building himself a nice operation here, and one that I am so glad to be a part of, and I couldn't be any happier!!!!!
  16. Checked the mail last night, and I'll be darned if there wasn't a card in the mail telling me how important it was for me to fill out my questionnaire, and return it. WHAT THE ****!!!!!!! Wonder how much money THAT wasted!!!!!! I'll tell ya, the US Gov't has gone to hades in a hand basket between that BS and the Health care. Sometimes wish I could just pack up and MOVE the heck outta here!!!
  17. Okay, so I get a LETTER telling me that my census questionnaire will be arriving in the next week. THEN it does arrive, but HAND CARRIED?!?!?! :jaw::jaw: How much of OUR tax dollars were wasted in that process I wonder? I mean, it's all over the news and TV telling me its coming and to fill it out, but to send a letter saying its coming?? Typical gov't waste!!!!

    Hear Ye Hear Ye

Let it be known this 15th Day of March of the year 2010, that one of our own has been named Assistant Vice President of Idabel National Bank!! That's right folks, we have true royalty amongst us. Mr Kevin Brittain aka MCH has been dually noted and annointed as such. Congrats Bud!!!! Been a long time in the making!!!
  21. Kyle, every "newbie" has to go through the same thing, no matter how much experience they have. I have worked around radioactive sources as well, and have seen this first hand. It doesn't matter where you came from, you still have to go through this. It's all about CYA!!!!
