  4. I have the Cabela's snake GoreTex boots and they are great......I bought a pair for spring turkey season and they are comfortable and kept my feet dry and protection against snakes is a big plus...very good boot.
  5. Thanks for the replies, I just ordered two stands...again thanks.
  6. Do any of you use Gorilla stands? If you do how do you rate the Gorilla King Kong fixed position stand? I like the price and they have a good size platform plus 300 lb capacity......whats your thoughts on this stand...before I place an order I would like to have reviews from hunters that use the stands, thanks in advance.
  7. The new Vectrix is a hot seller this year my son shot one last week he says it's the real deal....Hoyt is always making new and better archery equipment every year...top of the line.
  8. I have no trouble hunting with the Turbotec and spirals at 74 lbs....I have shot higher poundage bows in my younger years so I guess the spirals don't bother me lol...the Turbotec is not for everyone but I think it's shootable for hunting and not that hard to tame..I guess it's what ever you like in a hunting bow..I like the hard hitting speed of the Turbotec.
  9. I have a Turbotec and like it alot....for a speed bow it's a real shooter..very accurate.
  10. I will suggest a string.....Winners Choice strings are the best in my opinion.
  11. I have a 2003 Hoyt Razortec, it is a back up to my Hoyt Turbotec now but it has always been a great shooting little bow.....harvested several deer with it.
  12. Re: TC Shockwave bullets? Thanks for all the replies, I will get to shooting the gun and see how it does....I will try different gr of powder or pellets and bullet combos to see how it shoots....I will keep you all posted. again thanks

  14. Re: Maybe \"I\" am an idiot...................... D-man I would be finding another place to hunt...let them have it....kinda messed up your son had his heart set on hunting there...but they sound like a greedy lot you don't need to be around...I couldn't take that mess there would be trouble....they would ban me for good lol.
  15. Re: \"Its the sudden stop that hurts\" Spikekiller, I hate to read about your fall.....hope you mend well...your hunting season is done but your here to talk about next season, take care bud and get healthy.
  16. Re: Will a New String up my Bow Speed? They sure help matters....ask for Winners Choice bowstrings....the best in my opinion.

  18. Re: Should this be allowed here A friend of mine had cancer of the mouth and it disfigured his face after all the surgeries (several) and he is still with us, snuff was the blame for the cancer and he used snuff from high school till cancer struck about 10 years ago, now in his 40's he is cancer free and hunting and fishing and working enjoying his family and life.....life is to short to add to the risk of cutting it short, and I don't think the Realtree message board should be a billboard to talk about the mess or approve it...alot of young people read this board...just my opinion.
  19. Re: WASP JACKHAMMERS, WHAT DO YOU THINK?? My son used them a couple years ago when he had a bow that was a beast to tune.....the jackhammers shot true and made MASSIVE EXIT WOUNDS no problem recovering his deer.....they do the job.
  20. Re: Crossbows...good or not? [ QUOTE ] ther not legal here in wv but i yould like to try and hunt with one if it ever comes legal they look like fun [/ QUOTE ] They will be legal in WV during the 2006 season for HANDICAPPED persons only with upper extremity problems and those who apply for a permit must have a doctor excuse with strict DNR rules of eligibility.....the seasons have not been set but I think they will be allowed during our traditional archery season for those handicapped hunters who are permited to hunt with a crossbow.
  21. Re: Funeral protestors. Did they come to WV?? If so it's a wonder they didn't get shot or beat.....the miners who lost there lives families were hurting and these idiots come here to disrespect them......there needs to be a law to stop this type of ignorance, don't put a limit of what they can do don't let it happen at all.....the miners were good hard working family people....they didn't deserve that.
  22. Re: **High Blood Pressure*** Who has it***** I have been taking blood pressure medication since I was a junior in high school, I had to take medication to get my BP down to play football.....I will be 45 jan 20 and been on them for a long time I tried diets etc., but nothing works but medication.....Dman you know of all the risks of high BP so I will not preach to you but you need to get that BP down brother yours is dangerously HIGH...keep us informed, hope all goes well.
  23. Re: 12 of 13 coal miners in West Virginia found al [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] It seems like every year or two this happens. I'm not sure how much those miners get paid, but I'm sure it's no where close to being enough. Prayers to the families. [/ QUOTE ] Coal miners around here start out making $14-$16 an hour at the most... which is not nearly enough considering how dangerous a job they do every day or night. There's not much else here in West Virginia unless you have a job that deals with coal. It's either you work in coal, making what I mentioned above... you work some minimum wage job at a gas station, grocery store.. fast food, etc.... OR you just have to up and move to another state to find something better. Please please please say a prayer for the young man who is still alive.. he needs as many as he can get! [/ QUOTE ] I agree with you Alisha, miners jobs are very dangerous and there under paid....If you live in WV and make any money you either work in the mines or have something to do with mines or have a cheezy job working for the state...this was a emotional deal last night and my heart goes out to the families that lost loved ones in this accident.....how in the world did they get this so called mis-communication on these miners...someone needs to answer to this these families went through a horrible horribe situation and someone needs to speak up. My prayers go out to the lone miner that survived and his family....God bless them all.
  24. Re: ArcheryTalk.com [ QUOTE ] There are a ton of knowledgable people on AT. But some try to make you feel like a dumbbutt. There are definitely some jerks on there too. I visit often for the classifieds and technical help. [/ QUOTE ] You get that everywhere you go on the net.....some people have a way of getting there jollys heckling someone on-line, but all in all archerytalk is a good place if you just weed through the stupid stuff, also the mods there will get rid of the problems...they don't play ask Tink....he's been in time out before lol.
