  1. I'm not much in roundballs, but thought the barrels for them had something like a 1of 66 twist to stabilize them. So I'm curious how accuracy is with a modern sabot type rifle ? too_
  2. The original post sounds to me that he would like to hear opinions and that is what he got. I'm sure there is plenty of hunters out there that do not shoot inlines either. If there was negative comments, I missed them. Just because people do not care for them, doesn't mean they are against others using them. If you have been in here longer, you would know the quality and support that our members give each other. too_
  3. That is awesome my friend. Now you can look forward to hunting season 100% Mike
  4. It is so great to have you in here. too_
  5. Hi everyone. I did have a nice b-day, thanks. I'm still younger than buckee LOL. he has the smarts though !! Mike
  6. Thanks, and happy birthday to others. 1 more b-day is good for me LOL. I'm glad the doctors can be wrong Mike
  7. Check out the Stoeger line, I am. I have had some very fine o/u's, but I don't want to spend $1,500 or more right now. It might not be the prettiest, but will get the job done !! too_
  8. Hey. I have owned 4, model 11's. At least I remember them, are you talking used ? I had 1 16 ga. 2 20 ga. and 1 .410., these were mostly hand me down, except for the .410 I bought from a neighbor. Now I'm thinking one was a 11-48 in .410. Parts for the Model 11 came from the Browning a-5. The Browning parts were a perfect match. Good luck, they are fine guns. too_
  9. Looks like you have a few choices. I can't comment on some I have not tried. I also have 3 Limbsavers, and think they work great, and won't break the bank ever ! I have no experience with the others, but sure they are fine. too_
  10. I am a big fan of Nikons, and have many, worth a check too_
  11. Hey Gunnr, very nice shooting !! I don't have your gun, but think I have your front rifle rest if it is a Caldwell "the rock ". I don't know how you could any better with that set-up !! Mike
  12. Have a Boyds laminated stock on my Encore, look around this site from E. Browns. Mine came with a black synthetic, which I didn't like too well. http://www.eabco.com/encore.html too_
  13. Prayers and best wishes for your son and family. Mike
  14. Here is their web site addy: http://tlc.discovery.com/fansites/lpbw/lpbw.html I have watched them from their start, really enjoy it. They have a neat site also. too_
  15. I'm surprised many say the Encore is like a 12 ga. mag. I would say that it is more like a 20.ga. I do shoot only 100 grains ( 2 50 grn. 777 pellets ) My friend has an Omega, and really likes it. I have only owned TC's, but there are alot of quality guns out there. too_
  16. That gun should have no problem shooting at 100 yards. I also only use 100 grns. of 777 in my Encore, and it is plenty to kill out to 150 yards ( my limit) . Let us know how you like it after you shoot it. too_
  17. That looks like a good deal with the extra rifle barrel. My Encore muzzle loader with a 25-06 extra barrel, has to be close to $700, and that doesn't include a laminated stock I bought, and 2 Nikon scopes on top. WOW, I guess I have never added how much I have in it That's scary LOL. I would buy it if I was you , or buy mine, and I will buy it LOL. too_
  18. What do you suppose they are selling for ? I like it too, pretty nice looking rifle. too_
  19. Oh, just put on Shania Twain 24 hours a day, and I might watch it. Got a question, it sounds like you cannuks can watch both shows, American and Canadian, I don't think we can get the Canadian version, am I correct and why ? too_
  20. Hey, the Triumph. I don't know if is a step up from the Encore or not ?? The breech plug certainly is. too_
  21. You will be happy. I could use about 3 more Nikons, but I don't want to get divorced either right now LOL. too_
  22. I have the same Nikon Pro-Staff, and I am really pleased with it. My other Nikons are Buckmasters, I am thinking about buying another Pro-Staff though. Best bang for the buck for me. too_
  23. Don't want this room to die, I am still in contact with AJ. and gunnr has a ton of experience. Lets hear from you Has anyone had any first hand info on the new TC muzzleblaster ? too_
  24. A 4x32 ?? Man, almost free gun and you put that on top Chris needs to get on you till you put something decent on it LOL. Congrats though, you lucky bugger. too_
