  1. Congratulations Frank. I killed one around 10:30 this morning. Not my target buck and happened quick, but a decent buck. Will get pics and the story posted tomorrow.
  2. You picked out a phenomenal property there Frank. Hope that 11 can get a few years on him. Was a great morning to be in a stand this morning. A lot of activity, and the same 8 point gave me an archery opportunity yet again, inside 20 yards. He looks better every time I see him, but I let him walk again and took a pic of him with my phone. Saw 4 bucks, 2 of them I had not gotten trail cam pics of before, and also had 2 new bucks this morning get their pics made just before i walked to the stand. I just need my target buck to come back around and give me the same looks the 8 has.
  3. Good morning so far despite being t shirt weather. The 8 came back really wanting me to shoot him, so I tried again with with my phone.😉
  4. First sit of the season this morning. May regret it, but just passed a 3.5 year old 16 inch inside 8pt inside 10 yards. Bad thing is, I decided to shoot him with my phone and he got around behind me and caught my scent. And my phone camera would not focus.
  5. Congratulations Martin. Tough passing then when they walk off your farm and get killed on the neighboring farm. I passed several 2.5 year olds last year, including one that was a 9 point with super potential. That was in the 120's. I had probably over a hundred pics of the deer and he hung around fire a good while. That deer has not been around so far this year.
  6. Good luck Pat, that is a good buck. I have yet to sit in a stand this season. Guess I am going to hold out until the gun season. Hoping the buck i posted above is still around. Last pics I got of him were on Oct 11th.
  7. Sorry to hear about the back problems Don, I can definitely relate. Hope you get some better bucks move in. Activity here was dead, but has gotten pretty hot the past few days. Bucks seem to be cruising here already.
  8. Looks like your season is off to a great start Al. Congratulations on the doe.
  9. Great looking mount and deer. Congratulations.
  10. That first one has split g2's and 3's on the left side and looks like split 3 on the right. Very cool character for sure. That last deer is huge, think he may tip the scales near 300 lbs? Once again making me wish I had enough land to really manage.
  11. Cannot see the mount. It shows up as a downloadable link. I clicked on it, it was downloaded to my phone but I was still unable to see the pic.

  13. They may not like the location due pressure or other circumstances.
  14. That is a shame about that buck Frank. Hope he was not fatally hit and survives. If noone else signs up I may put myself on this team. I haven't sat in a stand yet this year, but am planning to go tomorrow morning with this cold front bringing temps down into the mid 30's. I passed on a 2.5 year old 9 last year, that we had loads of pictures of, and I think he made it through. Have not gotten pics of him this year. I did have a target buck, a solid 18 inch inside 10 point, but he has not been around since September 23rd. Body looks mature to me. He was on this edge 8 days apart, both times at around 7:30 am. Been seeing a lot of buzzards circling low over the property beside me, not too far from where I have this camera, the past few days though. Hoping they did not kill him.
  15. Very nice Steve. Thanks for sharing. Sorry to hear you are too disabled to hunt anymore.

    Rib Cage

Most hunters will never see a deer of that caliber in their lifetime. Whatever you decide, good luck on him Frank.
  19. As it is right now, the options are 2 teams of 3 or 3 teams of 2....
  20. Congrats on the doe Martin.
