  1. Holy cow!! Do you not remember a few races ago when JR was LEADING and kyle busch put him in the wall to gain position when JR pretty much had the race won?!?!? I dont even know how you can even say anything like that. You just need to go buy a toyota and kyle busch shirt since you seem to be such a fan.
  2. Why even bother with a diesel then? Get a gasser and put Flowmasters on it if your looking for something loud. Getting a diesel is about the power and fuel milage....you get an older one, your getting less power and less fuel milage but the added annoying noise and stinky exhaust. Sure, the black smoke looks cool, but all that is is unburnt diesel fuel which is going right into your wallet.
  3. With my 07' LBZ Duramax, I'm getting about 17-18 mpg with a 120 hp Diablosport programmer installed. You also have to keep all the trucks components in mind. The Dodge Cummins are famous for losing trannys before 100,000 miles and the powerstrokes have had alot of engine troubles.
  4. Test drive a stock one with the 6 speed Allison and I guarantee your opinion will change. Duramax makes more stock HP and torque than both the cummins or powerstroke plus has the best transmission of the 3 diesels. Go to www.duramaxracing.com ....this truck has blown out the best of the best powerstroke, cummins, and duramax trucks in the country in both Diesel Power Challenges he has entered.......I don't know how you can't even consider a Duramax. I've never met a disappointed Duramax owner.
  5. Sorry, just thought I'd give you my opinion in the form of a picture of my back window.
  6. And kyle busch can't figure out why the fans don't like him....... Hes spun soo many guys out to win a race or just being an idiot, I cant count all the times on all my fingers and toes. He will call it racing or an accident. Then Edwards gives him a little tap to get him loose and get the position and kyle goes off after the race and rides Edwards against the outside wall before Carl had to take it upon himself to spin kyle out to get him off his door handle!! What a spoiled little jerk. I think he got a few more haters after that race. I'll remind you, kyle did finish 2nd.
  7. I sat in Earnhardt Terrace, section U row 4 seat 7. I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. Absolutely a breathe taking facility. Sitting in my seats I had a perfect view of the track with an awesome view of (what I consider) the mountains looking off over turn 4. The only ovther track I've ever been to was Michigan and Bristol put that to absolute shame. Actually all the states I drove through put Michigan to shame not even mentioning the tracks . The people there were great with friendly Southern hospitality. Everything was clean including the restrooms. I was happy with the results of the Nationwide race but not so much the Sprint cup race. But everything else made up for it. Every Nascar fan should experience Bristol in person just once before they die. I'll post a few pictures if I get a chance in the next couple days.
  8. As much of a joke this sport is...I'm heading to Bristol Thursday after work for the Nationwide series race and Sprint Cup series races. I hear what an awesome race it was to see and my parents got us tickets. I just hope kyle bush or toyota doesnt win.
  9. So you think Dale JR is at the same level as far as driving as Jimmy Johnson and Jeff Gordon??? I don't think so!! Because he has been ahead of both of them in points the majority of the season and has been ahead of Gordon the whole season!! There is no way that two teams that have that many years with that same race team are going to get out raced by a new guy in his first season without a little more cash being tossed to that team. You have guys out there that have been racing these cars and same tracks for YEARS and ole kyle bush at 22-23 years ond in his 3rd or 4th season, knows these tracks and how to drive these cars better than the guys that have been doing it for 10-15 years???? Your crazy!! This circuit Doesnt doesnt care about competition level and doesnt have a whole lot to do with your skill......they care about money. All the money toyota has dropped into this circuit the last couple years, NASCAR is going to make sure a toyota is winning and kyle bush just happens to be the guy that is going to make a good story in the newspaper because of all the drama he creates.
  10. Why would Gibbs put all their money into Tony Stewarts ride when hes switching rides next year???? They are going to put all their money into the sure thing for the future, which right now is kyle bush. Hes going to get the better equipment. Same with Hendrick......Hes going to drop all his money into Dale Jr's ride because hes going to be your money maker running up front and being the fan favorite. I think you better look deeper into the sport and the financial issues before you get all giddy on ole kyle bush.......I'd bet you money that you could put any mediokre driver in that #18 car with that team and win races.
  11. This has nothing to do with Kyle Bush and how good he is. Nascar is all about money. Toyota couldnt even hardly make a race last year....now in 2008, they have won most of the races!!! ODD!!!! Since last year, toyota has been able to run more horsepower than the other 3 manufacturers, plus had the help from nascar to get their program up to the same level and past Chevy Dodge and Ford. Dont even try to tell my that kyle bush won Daytona because of his talent.......he was at the back of the pack and ran through that field without any drafting help, passing cars drafting like they were sitting still. Nascar is nothing but a money hungry joke anymore. Lets put kyle bush in a Petty car and see how many races he wins.....
  12. Since we are one the subject.....what is the longest you should wait before demanding your animal back?? My bird has been at the taxidermist for 3 years and at 1 year, he told me he would be done in a couple months, but its still not done. Im at a point now, to if I call him and he says it will be done in 2 months, i'm going to tell him, " I'll give you 4 months and if its not done, I want my bird and deposit back so I can take it to somebody who will finish the mount". Does this sound like the right way to handle the situation?
  13. I think you'd just have to watch and follow the sport to understand.
  14. I missed the last 40 laps. I seen the results and it wasn't what I was hoping for. I thought Mark had the car to beat today.
  15. Nice looking mount...congrats....I'm still waiting on my 2006 mount that I'm getting alot impatient about.

    my new toy!!

Put a chip in that baby and you will be impressed........I chipped my Duramax and can't hardly keep the rear tires sticking to the pavement. Lots of good performance upgrades to diesels these days.
  17. I just picked up a Diesel World magazine the other day....ford 1/2 ton diesels will hit the lot in 2010 and chevys will hit the lot in 2009. As long as I can afford it, I'll stick with my 3/4 ton Duramax Diesel.
  18. WOW, congrats.....beautiful home. Yeah, I still live with my parents and use my house payment as my truck and fuel payment.
  19. Do you watch the races snap? The other toyotas might not be winning as much but there is always 5-7 in the top ten all race long. Bushs team has just had the better strategy at the end to pull off the wins. As far as Tony goes.........I kind of have a hunch he really doesnt want to put a stinkin toyota in victory lane. Chevrolet has done so much to get him where he is at today....Chevrolet sponsors his Aldora Speedway and all his sprint cars. He couldnt get out of Gibbs for this year so I think hes just trying to ride it out until he can get the heck out of there. What really busts my butt is that last year a toyota couldnt even qualify for a race. This year after the help from nascar that they admitted giving the toyota program, toyota can run more horsepower than the other manufacturers and all of a sudden its all toyotas up front. Just like at Daytona, kyle bush got on the apron and went to the tail end of the pack and drove his way through the field effortlessly without any drafting help!!!!!! There is no way ever that he should have been able to drive through that field and win that race that easily without some type of advantage. Nascar is all about the money and its pretty obvious toyota has the pocket book the way I look at it. Then you go back to Dale JR. I don't know how many times I've heard that he doesnt have the talent and cant drive like his old man and will never be as good as Jeff Gordon........Well look now....hes driving Hendrick equipment, the same as the #24 and #48 and hes ahead of both of them in the standings. It isn't all about the driver........the equipment has more of a role in it than anything.
  20. I could have swore Dick Vitale was the biggest pro-Duke announcer out there.......I guess they all are.
  21. Yup, 60 extra HP than all the other manufacturers. What a joke.

    Nice Surprise!

Craig, I'm in the "A" unit which is the southern most part of the elk hunt area. I think Montmorency County. The guide I booked with said it is a great area for hunting cows.

    Nice Surprise!

I got a cow tag for this hunt. But like SQ2 said....there are only a couple hundred tags each year with several thousand people applying. I got a few uncles that have applied for YEARS and have never got one. So it is a once in a lifetime thing. I just contacted a guide service this afternoon that I think I will go with. They are a little pricey but have a 100% success rate the last couple seasons. But, for an opportunity like this, I will chunk out the change.
  24. GOOD! I knew Stewart wouldn't stay in a toyota any longer than he had to. Back to a bow-tie....That a boy Tony!
