I got home from work yesterday not feeling too enthused knowing I had to go to my buddys indoor 3d range and work a few hours more to try to get it ready to open up August 1st ( will post on that once we're finished). I walk in the house and notice a big manilla envelope sitting on the kitchen table. I look and it has my name on it and it was from the Michigan DNR. Kind of stumped as to what it could be, I open it and it has a pile of papers and pamplets. I take out the first sheet and read "Congratulations! You have been selected to receive a 2008 Michigan elk lisence for the December 9-16 elk hunting season." My jaw hit the floor. I apply every year figuring it was just a donation since there are only a couple hundred drawn every year. I never really thought I would actually get one!! I know several people that have applied for elk tags since I was in diapers and never received a tag. So this will be the biggest hunt I have ever been on and plan to spend the money to get 100% out of the experience. This just totally lightened my spirits for the rest of the year.

ODD!!! toyota couldnt even qualify for a race last year, this year they are unbeatable. You can't tell me weasle busch's driving skills is the only reason they are doing so well this year either. Without some type of advantage, there is no way that busch should have been able to run through the field that fast on a restrictor plate track, without anybody helping him draft like he did. I'm starting to hate this sport more and more every race....obviously other people are feeling the same way as many empty seats there are lately. I also heard from several sources that the toyotas are able to run 50 more horsepower than the other manufacturers this year...any insight to that?

I was a lil disappointed last weekend when Jr. didnt do a victory lap or a burnout after his first Sprint Cup victory in 76 races. You would have thought they could put a splash of gas in the car so he could at least do that for the fans. I'm a JR fan (and still am) and go down to that race every year and for him to win it for the first time ever and not do anything kinda made me a little sour.

LOL, Bowtech, I'm a JR. fan and I find that very hard to beleive. If I were Kasey, I would have went for the win....but he didn't have the chance to.

It's about time!! I've been going down to the Michigan races for probably 15 years and this was the first time I was there and one of my drivers won!!! I was kinda disappointed we didn't get a burn out or a victory lap. They could at least threw a splash of fuel in the car and gave us that for the money we spend to go to these races.

Best thing about that race was kyle bush finishing 43rd after making another idiotic move. Just too bad somebody else (McMurray) had to have his day ruined over that fool. Heck, they might as well pay me millions to drive one of them cars.....I can run a car around a track pedal to the metal and crash anybody in the way just as well as he can. Whats a shame that you can make millions driving like an idiot and putting 42 lives on the line at the same time.

Sweet...Nothing sounds better than a V8 with a good exhaust. I'll be getting a MBRP 5" turbo-back exhaust for my diesel here pretty soon...Just havnt decided to spend the extra money for duals or not yet.

Th Wings won the Stanley Cup a day ago and still no threads about it??? I'm not a big hockey fan, but since the hometown team made it to the finals, I watched. Its always cool to see a hometown team win. Congrats to the Wings.

You know, I saw the first part of that race.....and thats only because Jr got taken out in the early wreck so I could care less who won after that as long as it wasnt a Toyota. But I'm still wondering what in the world was Denny Hamlin and his spotter thinking during that first big wreck that took out 8-10 cars? That wreck was already started WAY WAY WAY before Hamlin even exited the corner and he came barreling into a strait away well over 120mph that was dang near 100% blocked!!!!!! Hes lucky he didnt injure Elliot Saddler drilling him in the drivers door that fast. That was almost as stupid as something kyle bush would do!!

Holy cow, 16mpg and having to buy 93 octane!?!? You could get get a 3/4 ton diesel pick-up like mine and save money in fuel. I'd be on the market for a new ride getting that kinda milage in that little car.

Ohh geez........I don't even wanna hear it....Just be glad you don't drive a diesel as an everyday driver like me. We've been paying over $4 a gallon for the last couple months and some places its over $4.50 now.....I don't feel a bit sorry for any one of ya's.

You know, Dale Sr. might have spun a few cars out for a win, but at least he was always man enough to admit it. Bush spun JR. out going for the lead and tried saying "it was just racing". Not only that....Bush has spun cars out back in the pack on purpose on several occasions not even going for a win. Hes stupid and wreckless. If I don't recall...didnt that moron do the same thing the night before to Steven Wallace during a Nationwide Series race? Wallace grabbed him by the helmet and Bush backed off like the weasle kid that he is.

I just seen the replay of the wreck where Bush sent JR spinning. Not only was it obviouis that Bush sent him spinning on purpose...then he had the guts to say that it was just racing. Then when asked about the crowd reaction with all the booing he replied with a comment along the line of "it was just the Junior fans drinking Budweiser and didn't see what REALLY happened"....Holy cow...that punk is lucky he didnt get cracked in the jaw and woke up looking at the ceiling of a hospital....I know if that went down 20 years ago...thats what would have happened!! I have ZERO respect for that KID.

They wont take that race away. Nascar and toyota are hand in hand together. Toyota pays Nascar good money so Nascar wants them to win....thats why they went and helped the toyota teams out when they couldnt even qualify for a race last year. What a joke.
