  1. cooled down to only 101 here today......I know you think I'm being sarcastic, but I am dead serious. It felt nice after working in 110 degrees for the past 10 days. 101 felt downright nice haha.
  2. It was one of my favorite movies as a kid. I just happen to be working 3 miles outside of the town that was destroyed in the movie....Wakita, OK. You sure wouldn't believe the town was the scene of a mega blockbuster movie back in 1995. It's one of the most desolate places I've ever been to. However "Twister" still lurks in the shadows at the Twister Cafe, and the Twister Muesem which is now open by appointment only. My helper and I settled for peeking in the glass and actually stood within a foot of the original "DORTHY I" tornado pack. There is debris from the movie, tons of pics from the production, and other stuff. Theres no sign that the town was ever ripped apart for the movie. Aunt Meg's house is no where to be found, and all the down town that was destroyed in the scene right after the F4 hit aunt Megs house is gone. Anyways...it's nothing significant, but as one of my favorite movies....it's neat to set foot on the very ground it was made.
  3. I wouldn't worry too too much about taking a monster loss. You will get back to where you were before today in a year or two. Now if your set to retire in a year or less....I might fret a little. I have been waiting on this PREDICTED down turn for about 3 months now. Several key advisors on CNBC called for this plunge. It will be a great time to buy in the coming days. Some big stocks were down as much as 15% today!
  4. I think they'll make a great BH. The commercial with T-bone and the jugs of water with the rage hole and the t3 hole showing the liquid flowing out makes em look pretty sweet!
  5. Just about anything sang by Justin Moore.....especially his new single-Guns.

    Laptops?

MACBOOK PRO!!!! It's better to spend 1500$ than waste that and then some on a new one every year or every other year at best. I have 2 dells ( $1400 ) and a HP ( $800 ) and they all crapped out in a year each. My macbook is just a fast as the day I bought it, plus I have NO virus protection costs. It's never locked up......They're worth the money!
  7. While it is drier here....its hotter (more miserable) up north. The temps may be lower, but the humidity is the killer. I was worried about adjusting to the heat here when I got home, but I found it much easier to handle than the 85-90 degree temps with 80% humidity in PA. It is super dry tho....I just installed a sprinkler system to try and save my yard and landscaping, but I'm afraid it may be too late. I'm thinking about snatching some of these cheap cattle to get my herd started. Prices are WAY down!
  8. poor guy....tell him we are thinking about him!
  9. Continued prayers Chris. How is he doing now?
  10. We'll see ya at my house next week. I want the RT friend discount
  11. In OKLAHOMA that is! I just finished a job up around Strut10's place and was on my way to a job near Wheeling, WV when I got a call from a company here in Oklahoma looking for an experienced tech to be stationed here full time. The money is a little less....bout 24% less, but thats a small price to pay for being home with my family more. I am having to start out in western Oklahoma, but will have days off to come home and will eventually get moved to eastern Oklahoma where I can be home every single night. I have been waiting on a good job back home to open up....never dreamed I'd get lucky enough to do the same thing I do on the road at home and make good money. Jenn and Cash are happy to have me home....I can't thank God enough for bringing me back with my family. It's a feeling I can't really describe. Anyways, just wanted to share the good news!
  12. I just wanted to give a public thank you to Don and his family for inviting Jenn, Cash, and I out to their home, the lake, 4th of July fireworks, and the other places we got to go. You all really made our trip to work up near Indiana, PA a real pleasure. You have a beautiful family, and I'm glad we had the chance to become friends face to face. I'd also like to thank Greg for inviting us to his home and on various outings. My schedule never worked out to get together, but I appreciate the effort and thought. Theres a chance I'll be back up in a month or so, so maybe we'll get the chance then. I head to West Finley, PA tomorrow afternoon near the West Virginia border. After that it's back up here, or somewhere around Towanda, PA.
  13. hey now....my new one is still stock.
  14. Nope...I am referring to something similar to what jeramie posted. I seen some kids this past weekend wearing them and they looked absolutely ridiculous. Jenn told me it was some fashion trend.......Am I already officially old fashion at 24? It's the dumbest thing I have ever seen.....
  15. Have any of you seen young kids/teens walking around wearing hats that look like animal heads???
  16. one thing I would re-consider on your insignia and thats the HD resolution. Spend the extra money and get 1080P....its about as big of a difference as going from digital to HD. Even cartoons look real on our 1080P tv's.
  17. Our newest vizio,22", is an LED. It's awesome. I recommend LED even over LCD if your willing to spend a little Extra
  18. I love my 42" vizio 1080p. 448$ at Wal mart. Also love my 22" vizio in our travel trailer and the other 2-32" vizios ( all 1080p ) in our bedrooms at home.
