  1. I'd buy a used bow off ebay..just ask alot of questions. There's plenty of vintage bows that are in great shape..Bear,Pearson,Wing,etc. Ask if the limbs are straight, any major nicks, delaminations, whatever. If you drop $40 on a bow and it's not what you want, you'll get your $40 back out of it. Drop a few hundred on a bow and you decide it's not what you want...you won't get your money back out of it.Think low poundage. #40lb is a fantastic starting weight...your form will definitely thank you down the road. You also have to decide recurve or longbow. I shoot both but most of my hunting and shooting is with a recurve and most people starting out adapt to the recurve better
  2. 22yds is my longest killshot.Practice or stumping,I'll shoot farther. Personally for me,I think bowhunting is a "get 'em close" sport...I think that's the challenge in it
  3. I don't shoot GT's but it's really refreshing to see a company coming back to America...way to go GT!

    Broadheads?

I love the Stingers also. Great warranty, scary sharp right out of the package, they tune and fly fantastic...I think they're the best value on the BH market
  5. Nice buck..very unique and I'm sorry to say but if your hunting experience is based on just something to hang on the wall, you're in it for the wrong reasons. I guess I just don't understand the horn porn thing
  6. My favorite fall color...blood-stained leaves.Nice buck and great story!
  7. Way to go! Great story and pic

    Pa. 8pt

Took this nice 2.5yr old 8pt in Somerset Co. on Friday the 13th(bad luck for him). He came in with his nose to the ground and stopped at a scrape I made 10yds from my stand. Took him with a 52# Black Widow recurve,Easton Legacy 2018 tipped with a 125gr Magnus Stinger 2blade. I watched him pile up within 40yds
  11. I only hunt on the weekends on my property..a 3hr drive. The past 2 weekends it's been raining so I haven't been there for awhile and I only have 2 weekends to go yet to tag a deer or 2. If I don't tag,oh well...that's why it's called hunting
  12. I can't imagine shooting with only one eye open...always shot with both open
  13. Well over 100...wood,carbon,aluminums,fiberglass. These plus a couple of quivers full.I usually take 5 out with me hunting
  14. I'll re-use both arrows and BH's.I killed 3 deer with the same arrow and broadhead until it broke on the 3rd
  15. Here's a link to the PGC.You should be able to get some info from that. Unfortunately,4D is sold out of doe tags(most WMU's are by now) http://www.pgc.state.pa.us/
  16. They do get used to them but I've seen them change their patterns because of them. The people that have a cabin across the road from mine ride ATV's all the time and I've watched deer coming thru my property stop to look over across the road at their cabin. They've also noticed a decline in deer sightings on their property in recent years...mine have increased
  17. Feathers...never used anything else in 30yrs of bowhunting. I've used them soaking wet, half a fletch missing, off the shelf, off a rest and never had any flight or noise issues at all
  18. API Grandslam climber. Light, comfortable, and rock solid
