sad to say, but this was the best we got here this year...20 yrd broadside shot. Not gonna pass 17 inch inside. 3 weeks to gun season, cant say Im excited at this point. Wolves, Poachers, and people shooting xbows beyond ability and wounding them. Not much to choose from.

Got another doe last Sat., 3rd shot with My Ravin. Dropped her oil plug! went 50 yards piled up next to the Ranger! Slick Trick 100 gr. heads are holding up ok, blades are the weakest part. They have deployed fully all 3 shots. One has shot two deer, although needing to be straightened and resharpend after each shot. one head got tossed as blade broke after first shot. Of course, they get anchored in the ground every time you shoot too, that dont help in rocky soil. Got some Rage Crossbow x heads to try out.

shot my 2nd Doe, (3rd shot with Ravin R10), last Sat eve, spent 3 hrs. Sunday cutting that one up and cleaning up etc. man those Bolts just Buzz right through, leaves a 2 inch hole and they sure dont go far!...

well RB..I have been working on the ones here, pass shooting them coming off a local corn field in the eve, as they go back to lake to roost. No new birds have come south. Believe these are off lake Superior and inland local lakes. about 500 feeding morning and eve. got two more this eve.

with the dry weather this year, the nesting ratio was way up. More little ones this year than normal. Gobbler came walking in, and right into my 20 yard circle on my Ravin scope! Fall season opened Sat. I had a tag, and an itchy finger!!
