Re: Antler growth and accidents? Lets stop this nonsense of comparing animals to humans; there are none!! bUT TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION, YES WITH DEER AN INJURY VERY MUCH WILL DEFORM AN ANTLER. I had a deer here that had a leg injury, and the opposite side looked like a Texas longhorn. We watched him for three years, and he grew the very same rack all three years. I even have the sheds.A bowhunter shot him the next season.

Re: Deer densities? Here in Northern Wis. the DNR estimates the population, but they tend to throw a blanket over the whole unit. In reality, we have pockets where the numbers are high, and then areas where you dont see a track!! And I do believe the insurance co. is the driving force behind the anterless quotas!!

Re: Maple trees? I'v seen electric poles hit, aint no sap in them! Here it does not seem to matter, whatever it hits it hits, transformers, roundbales, etc. We even have had bad rashes of "POLISH LIGHTENING"!!!! Insurance covers that though!

Deer will come running once they get used to it If you want our mix e-mail me, it is a little spendy, but the bucks come out of winter ready to grow ALL the antler they can and more!!!
