which 7mm? I have one re chambered about as big as they go in an 7STW so Im sure you will be OK with a 7mm-08, 280 or 7mm Rem Mag

I have one and shooting the 460 Weatherby in it, recoil is less than a 243. That is just the rest with no weight. Never seen the need for any weight.

puppy update Pics taken this past week at 4 weeks of age. All are doing great. We picked up an adoptee from my son. The little solid brown puppies mother passed and my Holly adopted it when it was 2 days old.

Son came by Friday with a new Savage 16 270 WSM. I had reloading components for it so I was getting a chamber cast and playing with the Accu-trigger etc. Told him it would be a couple of days before I would start loading for it. . He called me this morning and said "Hey Dad! I forgot to tell you that the Savage was yours" Wow!! I need to bead blast this shiny stainless. Anyone have this cal in a Savage?

I would guess fewer than 10% of shooters are capable of getting full accuracy out of a gun. But everyone is shooting MOA. Next trip to the range, try and pay attention to the targets other people are shooting.

My loads were over max but didnt show signs of pressure. I went till I got flattened primers then backed off 2 grains. It was still over anything in Nosler or Hornady manual. I had to send my 460 S&W back. It was flame cutting the top of the frame in front of the cylinder. 40 shots on it and it looked pretty bad

At 450 I thought my scope had screwed up but smith checked it out and said throat was gone. Said he could remove and cut and rechamber and I went with another barrel. Over max RL25 and IMR7828 took its toll. I took my first elk here in Idaho with it.

Here is or was a Rem 700 7mm Ultra Mag that I shot the barrel out on. It now has a new tube chambered for 338-300 Ultra Mag. Picked it up this morning.

I have taken 5 Whitetails and one bear and they have all been bang flop with 154 Interbonds and a 7mm Ultra Mag. Bear was av biggie that made B&C. Field dressed 337 lbs. I never had a pass thru. Have all bullets here someplace

I was kidding. I got the worst mag brow from a 460 Weatherby. I knew it was going to happed but had to take the shot. Right handed turned body to the right and not my feet. Wham. Turned at the waist. Got both my eye and nose. Oh and I did get the elk. I currently have 31 Magnum rifles not counting rimfire and 3 Magnum Hand Cannons. You should be able to find a few pics here.
