Hey guys back with another question. My firearm is a .300wsm remington sps, what are your views about fre floating a large caliber? I have a .204 ruger that I've free floated but I somewhere remember reading or hearing something that your better off NOT free floating a large caliber. The rifle has a bridge on the end on the forearm about an inch from the front. Let me know what ya think!! Thanks Chase

Well I didn't even make it out to my camp due to weather! Rain and wind all weekend.... Wouldn't dare cross lake winnipeg on a north wind... gets pretty deadly. Oh well there's always late season....Burrr.

I\m not sure if it's the same down by where you are but up here if your hunting the bush the most productive deer activity is hunting over the scrapes. Deer do travel down the rub lines but you can bet that when a buck makes a scrape he will be back to that EXACT same spot to check his scrape because if a doe is in heat and she wants to be bread, she will deficate in the scrape and wait in the area for the buck. I know where we are it takes the buck anywhere for 1-3 days to return to the scrape... but no promise on night or day. My uncle owns one of the largest hunting outfits in manitoba and his records show that 80% of his bucks are shot between 9am-2pm in the bush country.

Hey guys, just bought a new rifle not a shot fired through it. I hear all this stuff about lapped and beded just wondering if you think it's really worth it to get it done. It is a remington 700 sps .300 wsm. P.s. What is lapping exactly...I know what beding is. Thnaks!

Well I was trying to find a site where I could post this to get the best feedback, so I find myself back at the reliable Realtree forums! I am nineteen years old and my father is 53. My issue is that he is getting very unhealthy with the way he eats, and exercises, and is becoming obese. He works very hard for the familly working 2 full time jobs, a firefighter for the city, and a contractor. In his life he has overcome other addiction alcohol and smoking which i am very proud of him for that but i cant stand to watch him now shortening his life by unhealthy living. With every minute he gets he lays on the couch and eats junk food. Our family loves him very much but do not want to see him go down the same road my grandfather did. Now i am seeking your input on the situation. This always seems to be the best place for advice! Any suggestions or ideas how i should approach this? P.s. He is sick of moms nagging lol.

I know we had a client shoot a big bear like that with a 375 h&h and was never found. so it could have missed all vitals, but i have seen it where the deer bleed out inside. So run a grid and check any water holes is my guess animals tend to head towards water when wounded.

Hey, I am looking to breed my pure bred Yellow Lab, and I am looking for a female to breed him with. I would be willing to drive a couple hours to get business done. I am getting all of his papers.

Re: REALLY ! Disappointed in Realtree I agree with ruttinbuc, bigmoss ordered the gear off the website that is solely a realtree website, who have responsibilities to their consumers that they maintain an acceptable standard of quaility in both their prodeucts and service. The people working under Bill arre all embassadors for the company.
