  1. Re: So What Are You Realistically Hoping For? hopefully to bag my first with a bow. And of course I'm hoping for something bigger than my personal best 140 4/8 buck. We also have a piebald in our hunting area now, if I get a chance I might pop him.
  2. Re: Elk Shedding Pictures! awesome pics!
  3. Re: Once in a lifetime! hey, if you want send those photos my way too, they'd be great for my site, let me know if I can use em! You are extremely fortunate.
  4. Re: Another shed hunting forum thanks, I did some updates last night, still looking for any shed photos. Anyone who wants to share them feel free to email em to me or let me know and I can take ones you've already posted.
  5. Re: Big or small? I agree, I don't think there is a rule for it, generally it seems bigger bucks drop first after being worn out by the rut, but I've seen and heard of many exceptions to this

    Weird skull

Re: Weird skull that's definitely not something you see everyday!
  7. Re: Another shed hunting forum thanks all the pages are now online and all of the images should be working as well.
  8. Re: Found a shed in our backyard this morning! cats aren't stupid! lol I go out and tromp through the snow today, get cut up by thorns and get cold and find nothing, you look in the backyard and find an antler. That's just not fair! lol
  9. Re: Another shed hunting forum just thought I'd let you all know, I have the front page uploaded. It's gonna take a while for me to get the photos all uploaded, but feel free to check out the site now. The design is very similar to the original design if you saw the older one. I've had this site for over 3 years, but this is the first time it's ever been hosted under it's own domain name. After 3 years of headaches with free web hosts there is nothing as satisfying as seeing my site with www.shedantlers.net in the address bar
  10. Re: Not a shed but..... what? no field photo? lol now post this at my forum, it's boring there! lol congrats on the find, I found one last year except mine was a 2.5 year old 9 pointer with a 16 inch spread. I still don't know how that buck died, I never was able to find a cause of death. Oh well I got a nice European mount out of him and he now sits on my dresser now post that pic!
  11. Re: Another shed hunting forum thanks TG, you won't see her anymore? what are you talking about? Are you telling me this is the only forum you visit? lol I vist dozens of forums. btw this forum is the one being used with my site being re-opened under www.shedantlers.net I've got a crapload of as they lay photos (5 pages so far to be exact) and other info, Right now there's over 20 megs of photos actually and that's just starting out! Anyone who has images they want shared on the site post em here, or email em to me.
  12. Re: Shed Antler Trap. [ QUOTE ] Tsmola, Sure, If you want to use it feel free but, if you would.. put this on it. Designed By PHIL B - ILSNIPER1. [/ QUOTE ] sure, I always give credit for the images I use
  13. Re: Shed Antler Trap. very interesting, do you mind if I use these images on my shed hunting site? I'm rebuilding it and I have little to no info on antler traps.
  14. Re: locks on your cams? I've never locked my cam up, it just doesn't seem worth the effort. Good camo is a more effective deterrant in my opinion.
  15. Re: Latest cam photos thanks guys, some words of advice for anyone else wanting to use black and white film in their game cam, make sure when you set the cam up with this film, that most of the pictures will be close shots, longer shots with black and white tend to lose detail. I have no clue what those things are in the first pic, some different ones showed up on a few other photos as well, including one I took in the house to advance the film. My mom thought it was lightning when she first saw them.
  16. Re: Latest cam photos I had black and white Kodak T-Max 400 left over from my photography class last winter, since it's expensive film and not wanting it to go to waste I threw it in the camera for these photos. You can actually get pretty good black and white photos from game cams I've used black and white film about 5 or 6 times now.
  17. Last time I had my game cam in this spot I got 5 buck photos this time I got 4. Two are of the same buck, the little one. I'd seen the little one before, but I didn't have a clue the big 6 or 8 were in the area. oh well, now I have a good reason to pound the area for sheds, I really wanna find the big 6's sheds.
  18. Re: and the Winners Are... wow that's awesome whoo-hoo! sorry I'm so behind, work has been hectic for me, I completely forgot about this contest. thanks for holding this contest, all the photos were great!
  19. Re: Why do you hunt? to get out in the woods and away from it all, and to enjoy all of nature's wonders, some of my favorite hunts are ones where I didn't take a deer
  20. Re: B&W Film I've used black and white film in my Trail Timer Photo hunter twice since there was no other film left, prints turned out pretty nice, had a longer wait for them though. That'll change if I ever wanna do it again cause I'm gonna start developing my own
  21. Re: Got one with the rifle yesterday morning pretty decent buck, congrats
  22. Re: Rifle season opens loudly-WHY? [ QUOTE ] And what the crud are people shooting at 5 times? Is it that far away or do they just suck? [/ QUOTE ] I often wonder that same thing, here in Michigan it seems every idiot thinks he needs to take 5 or 6 shots at the deer. I mean, my god, I took 2 shots at an 8 point this year, but I only got an opportunity for a second shot because he didn't scare right away, I can't see that happening when these guys completely unload
  23. Re: Art Gallery This is a combination of digital art and a pencil drawing. I drew this first then scanned and colored it in photoshop, it won second in the patriotic art contest I made it for. It is of course, a tribute for 9/11
