  1. Good luck Luke. Hope everything turns out ok. Sounds like a lot of the symptoms of Lyme disease. You guys have a lot of deer ticks that far north?
  2. Go with the Vaportrails, and you'll never look back. Rock solid stings. Once I have had my bowsset up with VT's, nothing has ever creeped.
  3. 100 grain Wasp Boss Bullets. They fly like darts, and this is the result... 'nuff said!!!!
  4. Yup....Jens new baby. If she's happy, I'm happy!!...lol
  5. you wanna a a frown???!!! I just bought my wife a hat just like that!!! Unfortunately it came with an Alpha Max 35, and a $900 price tag...I've got her frown beat by a mile!!!...lol

    SNOW

    You guys can keep it!!!!
  7. Meeting with Tim is always worth the effort. Jen and I were bummed that we missed him again this year in Harrisburg. Tim is a great representitive for Realtree, you guys are lucky to have him!!! ( No, he didn't pay me to say that either, I swear)
  8. Draw length is probably the most important form factor in shooting a bow. Post a few pics of you shooting for us to see. Also stand facing a wall, and spread your arms out. Have someone take a measurement from tip of your middle finger to tip of the other middle finger. Take this number, and divide it by 2.5, and you should be really close to your draw length. Mathews bows have draw length specific cams. To change DL, you need to swap cams. Post the #'s on the cam, and I will try to tell you what DL your bow is.
  9. Jen, Jared, and I showed up, just in time, ....To Miss Lunch!!! As always it was great to spend time with Tim, especially seeing that we missed him in Harrisburg the past 2 years. Was good to meet Mike, Anthony, Michael, Joe and Melissa.( Hope i got the names right!!!) The jerky was awesome Anthony!!! Here are a few pics from today...
  10. If things move along at the shoot, we should be there early afternoon. Hope to run into you!!! We are just leaving now.
  11. Tim...Jen and I and another friend are shooting the IBO qualifier in Bozrah tomorrow. If we get done early enough, we will stop by. Hope to see you tomorrow!

    Kids Bows

I think this is about the perfect starter bow, for a youngster. It is adjustable in draw length from 19"-29". It comes in 2 draw weights, 29lbs, and 60 pound. Both draw weights can be backed off 50%, giving you 15 to 29 pounds with the 29 ln limbs, and 30 to 60 pounds, with the 60 pound limbs. One bow, with a simple limb swap can get your daughter right through her teenage years. This bow has no problem growing into a full fledge hunting bow. The Razors Edge comes as a kit. Not the best sight and rest, but upgradeable as you go along.
  13. I personally would start him off with a release and a peep. Kisser if he needs it. He isn't that far off from huntin age, so in my opinion you might as well start him off that way. If I was able to teach my wife to shoot, Balde will take right to it.
  14. For hunting, I always use a 1/4" peep. Makes it easier to see in shadows, or low light situations. For target, I use a 3/16" peep on my bows.
  15. I honestly believe this is about the best practice there is. When I step up to the stake, I start right off by finding a 20 yard object, then I judge from there. On steep uphills and downhills it bites me from time to time.
  16. Heck...this is a great deal. It cost me $20 for mine, and Jens ticket a couple years ago to get Tims Autograph. Now I see I can save the $20, and about $100 in gas, and just buy it off Ebay. But, then I never would have gotten this photo if I did that.... or these... Tim..We will see you on Sunday 3/22, at Cabelas in Hartford if we get done with our IBO qualifier early enough.
  17. Thank you both so much. I appreciate it, Nice to have a little history to go along with the keepsakes.
  18. A few weeks ago, I was going through some of my grandfathers things with my Mom, and came across some medal. I know he was in the Service. I don't know what branch, or if he was involved in any war. He was born in 1916, so he would have been of age to join the service around 1934/35 I believe. Can anyone Identify, or shed some light on these medals for me??? There is no one left in my family to ask about them.
  19. I was shooting Posten for the past 2 years. Just got hooked up with AEP through my shop too. I like the internal weights on the AEP. Posten isn't a bad stab at all!
  20. Me??? A "pot stirrer"???? Come on!!! Oh yeah...they got pics
  21. Thanks...there was a lot of blood swaet and tears over the last few months out into the addition. It was good to see the club benifit from it. We had a really good game dinner. It was what the club needed after the cash outlay for the addition.
  22. Last night was our clubs annual game dinner. It was the first event in the completed addition. We seated 164 without crowding. It was a very succesfull night for our club. First course was Squirrell Soup, Fish Chowder, Moose Chili, and Venison ribs. Second Course was Salad, Penne paste with Red Sauce and Wild Boar Sausage, And Bowtie Pasta, with white sauce and venison sausage. The Third course was mixed veggies, Venison Meatballs with onions and peppers, Barbecued Rabbit, Wild Turkey, Red potatoes and sweet potatoes mix, and Venison Roast The dessert table was unbelievable. All member donated, and 90% home baked!! Everyone definitely got their $30 worth. Here are some random pics of the dinner, and the completed addition. The completed addition, set up for 164 guests... Stirring the Chili... The kitchen help on break... Showing off the apron... Keeping an eye on the Squirrell Soup... Getting the Barbecued Rabbit ready... 2 ugly cooks!!!!... Serving the first course... A full house... Serving the second Course... Getting ready for the 3rd course... Everyone looks quite full!!!!... The killer desert table... Winding down... Me and Algonguins un-official "Official Photographer"... Tallying the loot...
