First off I don't live far from you and the deer hunting in the area is really really good with alot better bucks then yrs past. I could see turning back the doe harvest just a tad, but overall it's not bad for this area.
As far as reporting harvest data I totally agree with you. The numbers they come up with are basically an educated guess and I believe they are not accurate at all.
With the new licensing system it's so easy to report your harvest, plus it's stays there in your profile on line under your number so you can go back yr to yr and see what you harvested, which is kind of neat to help remember.
I think that with the new numbered license, every tag you are issued for big game(deer, turkey, bear) you should have to report at the end of the year whether you harvested or did not harvest. ALL issued permits(buck tag, turkey tags, all doe tags) should be reported regardless if you harvested or did not.
Then you can easily see what was not reported and the guys who didn't report, their license cost a certain percentage more the following year. Revoking a license just would cost the pgc money anyway and plus the person would probably still try to hunt, just up their cost to buy.
