Re: Youth Deer Rifles .243... my first dee gun, and the gun i'l keep forever. This gun can do it all.. form varmits to deer. Thats all we have in wisconsin. And the 100 gr bullet when i was twelve never felt to bad. And people who tell u that the 243 is too small for deer are crazy. My first deer i've taken all droped cold to a 243 100 gr Remington core lockt and Winchester power poitn plus. Model 788 remington... u see the love

Re: 7600 We won one at whitetails unlimited in 30-06. I shot a deer this year with it. Its not my favorite gun, but it does ok.

Well, not to sound like a whimp but i had remorse when i watched my first animal die, it was a coon which had taken up residence in a tower stand, I felt sad and i did feel quite a bit of remorse. I still do feel some remorse when I take an animals life. I always take time to respect the animal and sometimes, i admit that i say a prayer for it and thank god for it.

Re: Limit changes I gusee i can shoot 2 bucks, I got a buck tag w/my patrons licence and also in the patrons, i got a hunters choice for gun. And t-zone tags.

Re: Tip of the Week yes, I know how that goes, My uncle bowhunted for a week without any shooter deer, so he gave up and then i shot my 8 point the day he went somewhere else, out of the same stand too.

Re: COTW - .243 Winchester the .243 is my favorite gun. I have it on an old Remington 788. I bring it deer hunting and i hae 100gr bullets for deer and if i see a coyote, I load a 55 gr. fast and shoot the thing. Best and the most versilal gun between any season. Big game, and varmints. Its all good!

Re: Another Question... When i pick my friend up for school, I see turkeys in the same spot every morning, then in the same feild after track. Easters i think travel from roost, to feeding, to water, to dust/ eat rocks, eat, roost. Thats the pattern i figured out during bow hunting. The same group maybe stays within 3/4 of a mile of the roost, thats arround here anyways

Re: Wood Ticks... I hate them, thats why I spray my hunting cammo down with NO STINKIN TICKS & NO STINKIN BUGS. the NO STINKIN TICKS is earthe scent and the NO STINKIN BUGS is fall scent. its masking scent and bugspray all in one. I think it works Great!

Re: Polaris Ranger.. I like my friends Ranger, He has a farm, they got the new 4x4, We use that thing for duck hunting, NEVER got it stuck, we go off road all the time with it, cross streams, It goes forever, his dad uses it for everything else immaginable. Its a good machiene.
