  1. Re: Trigger Speed of Homebrews? It all depends on what camera you use. THe olympus d-380 can get you an almost instant trigger but the batteries only last 1.5 - 2 weeks. The Sonies are pretty fast and battery life isn't sacrificed. My favorite cam, the sony p41 is just a little slower than the d-380 at about 1 to 1.5 seconds. The p32 is a little slower at 1.5 - 2 seconds. The newer sonies, with zoom lenses are quite a bit slower. The s40 is 2 to 3 seconds and the s600 is about 2 seconds during the day and 4 seconds during the night. Haven't done a video cam yet. Someone else will answer you on that. I can tell you that it will be cheaper and better than the Wildlife Eye.
  2. Re: \"The Parking Perfection Game\" I finished in 56.5 seconds
  3. Re: How much would you pay to NOT hunt? Nevermind: http://www.snopes.com/critters/crusader/savetoby.asp Sorry for the hijack.
  4. Re: How much would you pay to NOT hunt? ...Here's the site I was talking about: http://www.savetoby.com/ Looks like the bunny lived!
  5. Re: How much would you pay to NOT hunt? Yeah he's not an idiot at all. Like others said: just film your buddies for one year and take the extra money to go to Canada or Alaska for a hunt of a lifetime. Maybe it was a hoax but don't you guys remember that guy who put up a website and said that if he didn't get so much money(I think it was like 20G) he would eat his pet rabbit. He actually got quite a bit of money. I'll try to search for it but it was like a year or so since I last saw it.
  6. Re: What kind of camera?? I have all homebrew cams.
  7. Re: HEY WISCONSIN! ITS ALMOST TIME! This week came fast! I completely forgot it was this weekend until just a few days ago. Now this week is going sooooo slooooooowww....
  8. Re: Some fun farming photos [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] He has some great 4WD tractors also. [/ QUOTE ] Only one I see there Ruth that is not 4wd or fwa is the 7620 pulling what looks like a haybine. Too bad he wont let you hunt his land. Again, some really pretty country there. [/ QUOTE ] I think it's a merger. But yeah, I don't see why they need all those 4wd tractors to pull around dump boxes.. Probably the only ones they had available.. Awesome pictures Turkey Girl, do you have any pics of them in action? Do they have semis or dump trucks waiting on the road or do they just bring the dump wagons straight to the farm? Thanks for sharing!
  9. Re: PHOTO Contest Winners! Awesome photos everyone! Congratulations to the winners. Thanks Billkay!
  10. Re: What setting?? [ QUOTE ] I have it set on a 1 minute delay. Is that too short? [/ QUOTE ] No, I set mine to 10 seconds. I don't see any reason why you would want deer to walk by the camera and not get their picture taken unless you're paying to develop film or are leaving your cam out for an extended period of time.
  11. Re: scareest movie "Willy wonka and the chocolate factory" and "Charlie and the Chocolate factory." Seriously. "It" was pretty scary when I saw it at the age of 6. I'm still too scared to watch the excorcist. "Saw" and "House of 1000 corpses" are pretty good horror movies.

    OCD?

Re: OCD? I count the syllables of sentences I say and sentences other people say. I used to not say anthing unless the syllables I was saying were in multiples of 5. I got over that though.
  13. Re: Homebrew pics - coyotes and others [ QUOTE ] Great pics there Bond. Did you ever get anymore pics of the bear? [/ QUOTE ] No, I put two cams back there for 2 weeks after that picture of the bear and all I got were pictures of college kids working with the DNR.

  18. Re: Out of velvet and summer coats!! Let him go, he'll be bigger next year.
  19. Re: Couple pics from the homebrew [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Very nice. That's what I just built too. I'm waiting for my first pics. I'll have them posted by next weekend. What camera are you going to build next. I like to go with the Sony S600, S40 or do an IR unit. [/ QUOTE ] Not sure yet, but my design for my case will definitely be different and will go with a bigger case than the 1020 next time around. [/ QUOTE ] I'm the same way. Sure, it'll fit but it's really tight in there. I like to use 1040 cases so they can go vertical on the tree. And you have some room to work with. Great pics by the way.

    NYPD Charger

Re: NYPD Charger [ QUOTE ] so running from the cops wouldn't be the best idea now would it ?? [/ QUOTE ] All these hemi's by doge anc chrysler are all about straight-line power. I bet I could out-corner that thing with my Mazda. Just don't get yourself caught on a long straight-away with that thing chasin ya. I don't speed so I don't have anything to worry about anyway.
