    Flexible time...

Re: Flexible time... I don't really have myself or offer my staff "flex time" as described due to specific coverage and resource issues. However, I do allow them to work from home sometimes. I have that option as well occassionally when I don't have to be in the office for manager, staff, or strategy meetings.
  2. I can't help it

Re: I can\'t help it [ QUOTE ] I was searching the Internet for a photo. Can't find one yet.. But that was a bad bad bad look... [/ QUOTE ] Here you go:
  4. Re: Electric dryer taking too long to dry clothes [ QUOTE ] Did you pull out the schematic and find and check the fuses? Mine went bad and I traced it to a $11 fuse. Just put an ohmmeter on them and check for resistance (or lack of). [/ QUOTE ] I didn't think to check fuses since it does dry a little. Nevertheless, I will definitely check them.

    I can't help it

Re: I can\'t help it [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I missed over half of the show tonight. What did the judges have to say about Sanjaya? [/ QUOTE ] There is no hope, literally. They said he could actually sing a little but didnt want to try. Simon just said, "There isn't anything worth saying at this point." He got hammered by Simon! [/ QUOTE ] This is sad...Sanjary looked like a furry rooster, sang such a boring version of the song, and even forgot some of the words!!! All the judges could say was they didn't know what to say and that it wouldn't even make a difference. The saddest part is, they're right! UGH!
  6. My dryer isn't drying clothes like it use to. It takes a very long time with light-weight clothes and really never thoroughly dries heavier clothes. I've checked the filter and vent and tested the switch and heating element and everything seems fine. Before I bite the bullet and call a repairman, I thought I would check for any recommendations from the RT crew. Anyone have any expertise or thoughts?
  7. Re: Fiberglass Toppers/truck caps? $600 does sound like a good deal. I paid around $800 for the ARE hard-shell tonneau for my 2005 Dodge Ram short bed.
  8. Re: The boat is Mine! (She finally caved all the Very nice! Congrats on it. I'm sure you will enjoy it.
  9. Re: Ted Nugget...Outdoor Channel... Watching it now. Glad to see that Jim is taking the time to educate himself on "assault" rifles.

  13. Re: Worship Music [ QUOTE ] I've seen more and more churches start out with what they call "praise teams" that sing a few contemporary songs during Sunday morning services. Then gradually they take over and there's not even a choir anymore. And the singing takes up over an hour or so of the service. Sure, I love contemporary music and can jam with the best of them....but I also love the hymns I was raised on and nowadays I find that very few churches include them in their services anymore. Very sad....... Few of my all-time favorites: 1. Blessed Assurance 2. Old Rugged Cross 3. Victory In Jesus 4. Just As I Am 5. Sweet Sweet Spirit [/ QUOTE ] Hmmm...you don't know how much I agree with that!
  14. Re: Worship Music I enjoy the contemporary praise and worship music with some hymns thrown in here and there. Most of my P&W happens in my car or at home lately because the worship leader at our church basically repeats almost all of the same songs every week.

  16. Re: What Kind of Student were you? Not really one you would have wanted in your class. I was a major class clown.

  18. Re: MOVIE SUGGESTIONS We really enjoyed The End of the Spear, The Passion of the Christ, Chronicles of Narnia, and The Nativity Story. I don't believe we've seen Facing the Giants. I have to agree with Buckee on the acting in the Left Behind movies. It could have been better but the message was good. Another to consider is One Night with the King. It's the story of Esther.
  19. Re: Thank you Lord [ QUOTE ] Oh and our great new ROOM!! Thanks all the realtree mods that made it happen [/ QUOTE ] Amen!

  21. Twinkies and Root Beer A little boy wanted to meet God. He knew it was a long trip to where God lived, so he packed his suitcase with Twinkies and a six-pack of Root Beer and he started his journey. When he had gone about three blocks, he met an elderly man. The man was sitting in the park just feeding some pigeons. The boy sat down next to him and opened his suitcase. He was about to take a drink from his root beer when he noticed that the man looked hungry, so he offered him a Twinkie. The man gratefully accepted it and smiled at boy. His smile was so pleasant that the boy wanted to see it again, so he offered him a root beer. Again, the man smiled at him. The boy was delighted! They sat there all afternoon eating and smiling, but they never said a word. As it grew dark, the boy realized how tired he was and he got up to leave, but before he had gone more than a few steps, he turned around, ran back to the man, and gave him a hug. The man gave him his biggest smile ever. When the boy opened the door to his own house a short time later, his mother was surprised by the look of joy on his face. She asked him, "What did you do today that made you so happy? "He replied, "I had lunch with God." But before his mother could respond, he added, "You know what? God's got the most beautiful smile I've ever seen!" Meanwhile, the elderly man, also radiant with joy, returned to his home. His son was stunned by the look of peace on his face and he asked," Dad, what did you do today that made you so happy?" He replied, "I ate Twinkies in the park with God." However, before his son responded, he added," You know, he's much younger than I expected." Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. People come into our lives for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. Embrace all equally! ~author unknown~
