  1. Re: Charles Daly shotguns I have two friends that own Charles Daly shotguns. One loves his and the other has his up for sale! All semi-auto and pumps are manufactured in Turkey. A true "Turkey Gun"!
  2. Re: Good Info Excellent site! Thanks!
  3. Anybody know where I can get plans for an elevated hunting shack?
  4. Re: Hooks mouth calls I love my Hooks mouth calls. I just recently bought the "Executioner" and the "Shockwave". Plan on getting a couple more!
  5. Re: Couldn\'t believe it... My father-in-law has shot a lot of turkeys in flight. It's mostly because he's always caught with his gun down!! He says his legs and arms go to sleep if he tries to hold a gun up too long. But he is a good wing shot and he has killed a lot of turkeys by "quick drawing" them!!
  6. Re: How much cash have you spent on turkey season..... It varies from year to year. This year I will probably get by with just buying my license and tag and a new Hook's mouth call. Around $50.00.
  7. Re: Occupation and Deer Hunting I'm a factory worker. In the Fall I can look out a window at work and see deer grazing in a cornfield. That keeps me pumped! I always make time for hunting. I'll take a week off during deer and turkey seasons. My wife and kids know to "Not mess with Dad" during the deer season!!
  8. Re: Hooks Custom Calls Hooks makes wonderful mouth calls! I usually get mine from Midwest Turkey Call Supply. www.midwestturkeycall.com 1-800-541-1638
  9. I wanted to put out something for turkeys. I heard Chufa was the way to go. Any ideas?
  10. Re: Chokes for a Mossberg 935 You can usually find a lot of factory and aftermarket chokes for the 835/935 on eBay.
  11. Re: Need help on deciding which mouth calls to buy. I like Hooks Custom Calls out of Batesville, AR. You can get them through Midwest Turkey Call Supply. www.midwestturkeycall.com
  12. Re: Winchester Xtended Range Loads Thanks Strut10! That answers my question!
  13. Has anybody had any luck with these loads? I have a Mossberg 835 and was thinking about giving these a try.
  14. Re: Jim Shockey jumped ship to T/C ! Maybe it was the gun and not the money!
  15. Re: COMP-N-CHOKE Midwest Turkey Call Supply has the Comp-N-Choke. www..midwestturkeycall.com or call them at 1-800-541-1638.
  16. Re: Scopes for the Omega I have an Omega with RT camo and stainless barrel. I put a Nikon 3X9X40 Prostaff scope (matte) on it and I personally think it's a great scope.
  17. Last Spring I tried the new Federal turkey loads with the Flitecontrol wad in my Mossberg 835. I never did get them to pattern well using ported chokes because of their wad stopping capabilities. I tried several non-ported chokes such as Hastings and Trulock and got better results but nothing to write home about. Did anybody have any luck with these shells out of your 835? What choke?
  18. What combo of shell and choke worked best for you guys this season in your Mossberg 835??
  19. Re: SAbot Suggestions? Hey AJ, The QT40....is it the same as the X-Tended Range Sabots in Cabela's? If so, what wt. bullet do you use in .50 cal.? What about the Dead Center? Do they load any easier than the Shockwave? Thanks!
  20. Re: Kentucky opener weather looks great. I'll be hunting in Harrison and Robertson Co. Can't wait till Friday!! Good luck to all!!
  21. Re: Owners Of The Mossberg 835 Ulti-Mag!!! Hey, guys, where did you purchase your Sims Limbsaver pads? Is it just a simple 2 screws removal of the old pad and 2 screws on with the new one? Are these pre-fit to go on the 835 perfectly or do you have to make some fabrications? Thanks!
  22. Re: Comp-n-choke OKbwhtr, what's your constriction on your Comp-N-Choke....670 or .680? Also, what brand and size shells are you using with your 835, Comp-N-Choke combo??
  23. Re: Federal Flite-Control-WOW!*Pics added* Spyderpancake, what kind of choke do you use with your 835 and the Federal Flitecontrol shells???? I'm having trouble finding the right combination with these shells in my 835. Nice birds!!
  24. Re: Comp-n-choke Just bought one 2 weeks ago. I couldn't get the new Federal Flitecontrol shells to pattern worth a darn out of my Mossberg 835. I've read that you shouldn't use a ported or slotted choke with this load anyway. Had better luck shooting the Winchester HV loads.
  25. Re: TURKEY CHUFA Chufa is a perennial and you will most likely get a second years growth from it. I've heard of some people getting 3 or more years. Turkey, as well as deer and waterfowl love it. Cabela's offers 5 different brands to choose from in their Spring Turkey Catalog.
